I-Ella the List Sex in the City Style Soho Bag Review

I have been waiting for my I-Ella the List Box very patiently. Well, actually as patiently as I can. This month I-Ella sent a box themed around My Sex in the City Style.  You know why I was excited now.

What is I-Ella the List?
I-Ella the List is your Personal Stylist in a Box. Each month I-Ella the List will pick out a theme, and send you a box full of fashion goodness, and extra goodies. You can pick from three bags: 1) Starter Bag, which is $59; 2)Soho Bag, which is $129; and 3) St. Barth’s Bag, which is $389.  Before signing up you take a style quiz, to find out what you like best, and I-Ella the List also has you provide all your sizing information, so that any clothing and shoes fit perfectly. The sit back and wait to for the fashion to come to your door.

I-Ella the List Sex and the City Style
Soho Bag

After going through my style profile I-Ella the List determined that my style was most like Carrie.  And the box that I got for this go round through I-Ella the List was great!  And I have to add that for this Sex and the City Style bag it was presented so nicely. This is what it looked like after opening the box.  I was super excited to dig right in.

Blithe & Bonny -$8
I was really excited to see this soap because I had heard that it was good stuff. This bar is a soap bar made with Goats Milk. Not too sure about that. However it smelled great, and I love how it is packaged.

Herban Essentials  -$12

I receive these in each I-Ella the List box I get. I do not mind, but I am collecting quite the collection now.

Caroline Gardner Notebook- $6
I was really excited to get this little journal/notebook. I am guessing that a notebook/ journal was included in my Soho Bag because my style was Carrie. We all know on the Sex in the City Carrie was a writer of the best column in New York.  This came at just the right time, and the Caroline Garner prints are just so lively and bright!

M&M  Schmalberg Custom Flower  –$18
While I loved this flower, I was not sure what I was going to do with it right away. I actually think it may go into use for our little one.  Sewed on to a little headband for our little one would be super cute!

Wren Cut Out Pleat Dress  –$330
Perfect for work. I  like I-Ella the List more and more because they send me clothing that I absolutely love. In just one week, I have actually worn two pieces that I have gotten in past I-Ella the List Bag,  and my Biko necklace. I love the colors of this dress, and it definetly adds some color to my closet. I am usually a black dress kind of gal.  One thing I know for sure I am super glad it was in my I-Ella the List bag because I usually do not spend $330 on a dress just for the heck of it!

TICKLED PINK OPINION:  Okay I have to just say it,  I-Ella the List was super-fantastic this month. Yes, I know super-fantastic is not a word, but it really was great.  I did have to wait longer than I thought for this box to come my way, but it was worth the wait for sure. My Sex in the City style Soho Bag was packed full with $374 worth of products, and it cost me $129 and shipping.  I am just over-the-top happy with everything and cannot wait to see more from I-Ella the List!

I-Ella The List Soho Bag Review

Yay, another clothing and shoe subscription came about a week ago, and it was for me! Another great month for I-Ella the List Bag, and for this month the theme was shoes. Yes, ladies shoes! I was beyond thrilled to see what was packed inside this month’s bag.

SHOES I-ELLA THE LIST SOHO BAG

This month the theme was shoes, and I was thinking, well of course the contents will be shoes. Well, I-Ella went beyond that, and I cannot wait to show you what was in my Soho Bag this month.

Herban Essentials Towelettes -$6.00

These are included in most my I-Ella the List Bags, but I really like them. In this month’s box they included only Lavender, which is may favorite out of them all. These are great to pack in my purse, or to have in a bag for the little one.

Clairvoyant Beauty  DePuffing Eye Gel and Misc. Samples- $16

I am always looking for a better DePuffing Eye Gel. I currently use Benefit Cosmestic, and I really like it,  but we will see how this matches up. There were also samples included of French Clay Cleanser and UnderEye Brightening Gel.  What I like about Clairvoyant is that it is vegan and no animal testing.

Rifle Paper Co. Garden Recipe Card Set- $12

These are just super cute recipe cards, and I love Rifle Paper Co. Somethng I didn't expect to see in my I-Ella the List bag, but I like them.  I may have to find a nice little recipe card holder now.  Any suggestions where to get one?

Michael Lauren Clothing Black Tank Maxi Dress- $90

Michael Lauren has a list of A-list clients like Halle Berry, Charlize Theron, and Jessica Alba. I really like these celeb’s style, so I thought I would  like what was packed inside my I-Ella the List Soho Bag. And, yes, I do! A very classic black tank maxi dress. It is just my style, and is super comfy. I-Ella the List most definitely is keeping my style in mind with this pick. Love it!

MTNG Nile Sandals- $85

And now the SHOES! I usually would not have picked these sandals out these on my own. However, they are super stylish, and I think would look very good with the black tank maxi. MTNG shoes are made in Spain and are said to be super high quality. I am very happy with these sandals.

TICKLED PINK OPINION: The total value of my I-Ella the List Soho Bag this month was $209, and the cost for me was $139 (shipping is extra), and I think the Soho Bag I got was well worth it. I could not be happier with the Shoes I-Ella the List Soho Bag. I am super impressed by the turnaround of the I-Ella bags that I have been getting lately. If you read any of my reviews a couple months ago,  I was a little displeased with what I had been getting. However, I have been super happy with the last two Soho Bags that I have received, and hope that I keep getting bags like this. I know that this bag’s theme was shoes, but I was most excited about my Michaeal Lauren Clothing Black Tank Maxi Dress, and cannot wait to wear it. The next bag’s theme is Sex in the City, and I cannot wait to see what is in store for I-Ella the List Bags. Another maxi would be fine by me! Haha.

What did you think of the Shoes I-Ella the List Soho Bag? Are you wondering which character you are most like from Sex in the City, and what I-Ella the List would pick out for you in their next bag? Well, to learn more or sign up, you can visit I-Ella the List HERE.

I-Ella the List Back on my Hit List- Soho Bag Review

I really do have a love for clothing subscriptions, and if you have read my review of last month’s I-Ella the List Starter Bag you know I was a little less than thrilled about what I received. I contacted I-Ella, and Ella was very nice. She explained that they really do try to make each subscription box/bag to fit what the subscribers like. Well, nonetheless, with a little discount I was convinced to try the Soho Bag. I was thrilled with my bag this month.

New York Sample Salein a bag
Soho Bag

This month each bag was guaranteed to be, at least, double in price versus what was paid for the subscription. And, YES, indeed it was.

Herban Essentials Lavender Towelettes- $10

These towelettes you will see in my other I-Ella the List Starter Bags, but they smell lovely, and while I already have some of these, I can always use more. Even better the lavender are my favorites.

Miss Jessie Jelly Soft Curls

This stuff is said to be great for curls and “The Best Darn Super Soft Gel Period.” Haha. Well I have heard lots about Miss Jessie products, so since I have some natural curl in my hair I am excited to try it out.  No price was given for this sample.

Armour Beauty Lip Gloss- $21

I received some Armour Beauty Lip Gloss in my first starter bag, but it was a deep red.  This pink color will be a great natural gloss for summer. Armour Beauty is a favorite among the stars, and to let you know it really is pretty great.

Walter Baker Jamie Blue Skirt - $128

Okay now for the good stuff. When I contacted I-Ella they asked me why I was disappointed, and I let Ella know that I thought I would be receiving more clothing in my monthly bags. Yes, clothing is the way to my heart. And my cries were heard. This skirt is so pretty and perfect for work.  It is something I would pick out for myself as well. When I-Ella sends clothing (well only once before), it has always been right on the money.

Walter Baker Karl Fuschia Top- $138

Another clothing item and it screams my style to the tee. I love tops like these. The color is bold, perfect for summer, and the detailing on the buttons is just beautiful. I cannot wait to wear this at work or on a nice casual day out and about. Like I always say, I love versatile pieces of clothing, which this top is.

Piper Gore Finn Romper- $145

I have not really picked up on the romper style. I just was not sure they would look very good on me. However, this black romper is the perfect romper for me. It is elegant, simple, feminine, and very comfortable. And, it is very versatile as well. I can have a hay day with all kinds of accessories with this piece.

TICKLED PINK OPINION: As you can tell the I-Ella the List Soho Bag won me back over. The picks for my bag this month were just wonderful, and I love adding great new pieces of clothing to my wardrobe. The total amount I paid for this was, $139 (cost with shipping), a little more than your average subscription, BUT included in this month’s New York Sample Sale Soho Bag was $442 worth of quality items.  Yes, I am already signed up for next month’s Soho Bag ,and the theme is SHOES. Cannot wait to see. I am hopeful history does not repeat with I-Ella the List subscription, but time will see.

If you are interested in signing up and learning more about I-Ella the List you can  HERE. Or if you would like to see past bags/boxes, you can HERE or HERE.

What do you think of this month’s Soho Bag from I-Ella the List? Will you be signing up again soon, or trying it out for the first time?

I-Ella the List Starter Bag- Left me Wanting More

I was so excited about this box when I first started to receive it a couple months ago; however, as the months have passed I have become a little more disappointed. I received my June I-Ella the List Starter Bag this weekend, and I must say I was expecting a little more. I think it may be that I-Ella the List set the bar so high in my first starter bag, that I expected the same caliber of products in all my Starter Bags from I-Ella each month.

This month's theme was Weekend in the Hamptons, specifically, my letter from I-Ella was titled "Lunch in Southampton" (What will you wear?) The cost of the I-Ella the List Starter Bag is $59 plus shipping cost each month.

I-Ella the List also has two other options: The Soho Bag ($129 plus shipping) and the St. Barth's Bag ($389 plus shipping) per month.

Here is my...
June I-Ella the List
Weekend in the Hamptons Starter Bag

While I really do like this necklace, I really am amazed at the pricing of the necklace. Do not get me wrong though, I know even the simplest piece of jewelry can be worth a lot. This is very pretty and dainty, and I know I will wear this.

I was looking over the Medi-Tan website and noticed they had sunless tan products, and while I do love getting tanning oil, it is not quite sunny enough Seattle, to be needing any tanning oil. However, as it gets sunnier I will most definitely be able to use the three samples I got, whether it be myself or for friends and family.

FARMHOUSE FRESH SAMPLES

I received two samples of the lotion and one sample of the oil from Farmhouse Fresh. I am excited to try these products out as they were on Oprah’s Favorite things list in years prior.

HERBAN ESSENTIALS TOWELETTES  $10

This is the same product that you saw and should have seen in my last couple reviews of the I-Ella the List Starter Bag. That you can read HERE. And while I really do love these towelettes, I really would like to see something different.

I was super excited to receive this subscription bag/box this month, however, this month's I-Ella the List Starter Bag left me just wanting to see more. My very first starter bag cost the same, but included $205 worth of fantastic products, including a fabulous Sam & Lavi Dress, as seen below.

My next I-Ella the List Starter bag included $123 worth of wonderful products. And this month I-Ella the List Starter bag totaled $90 worth of products. I see a trend unfortunately.

Overall, I really hate to complain, as it seems , after researching, that what I received in my Starter Bag was worth the price I paid for I-Ella the List Starter Bag. Unfortunately though,  I would never actually pay $59 for a little necklace and bath and body samples. And I would have loved to find some clothing instead. To be honest, that is why I keep signing up for I-Ella the List subscription. I find myself now debating on whether I should keep my subscription or not.

What do you think of this month’s I-Ella the List Starter Bag, the Soho Bag or the St. Barth's Bag? If you are interested in learning more about I-Ella the List monthly subscription or signing up, you can check out I-Ella's website HERE.

I-Ella The List Starter Bag Review

I was really excited and pumped to receive my second I-Ella The List Box. I again went with the Starter Bag. The starter Bag costs $59,  and another $10 for shipping. However, I am quickly finding this to be my favorite subscription box to receive each month.

The other I-Ella Options are the Soho Bag for $129 and the St. Barth’s Bag for $389.

While, I really really enjoyed this month’s bag, I was really sad to see that I did not get any clothing. Additionally, the value of my bag, while still double what I paid for it, was less than what my first bag was worth.

May Starter Bag

Olivella Facial Cleansing Cloths

I have already been using these, and I really like them.  I have never seen olive oil being used in any of my other facial cleansers, but, they are working great!

Herban Essentials Towelettes

In this bag I received the Lemon Towelettes and the Pet Towelettes. I am loving the lemon scent of these towelettes, and they are perfect for my purse or for a road trip.  Now that I have finally tried these out, I am really disappointed I never received my lavender towelettes from last month, as I love lavender. If the lavender are as great as these lemon towelettes than I think I am missing out.  Has anyone tried the Lavender towelettes yet?

S.W. Basics of Brooklynn Cleanser

I loved the lip balm I received in my last bag, and this cleanser is just as great. This is made with tea tree oil, yet is not overpowering, which I love. I used it the other day, and it takes off my makeup great, and feels good on the skin.

BIKO Necklace

My favorite piece of jewelry to wear on a normal basis are necklaces, so I really enjoyed this piece from BIKO. I really love the unique hardware style of this necklace, and think it is a great piece to add to my collection of jewelry. I also love the inspiration it has given me to make some of my own jewelry. Excellent addition to my Starter Bag.

Overall  May’s I-Ella The List Starter Bag was great. I received $123 worth of products, and only paid, with shipping, $69. I cannot wait to see what is to come for I-Ella The List, and for months to come.

What do you think of I-Ella The List? If you are interested in signing up, and getting on The List, you can find out more information HERE. And if you would like to see my Starter Bag from last month, you can HERE.

I-Ella the List- Starter Bag Review

I have had this box for a while now, but I was waiting to get an item that was left out before I reviewed it. Unfortunately, that item has not arrived yet, and I cannot wait any longer to share with you my I-Ella The List Starter Bag that I received at the end of March.

If you have not heard about I-Ella The List subscription bag you can check out more HERE or HERE.

The I-Ella The List Starter Bag that I received:

S.W. Basic of Brooklyn Cinnamon Lip Balm- $4.00
This is a great lip balm, and best yet it is eco-chic, smells great, and affordable. The Cinnamon Lip Balm is made out of only 5 ingredients ( cocoa butter, coconut oil, beeswax. Cinnamon, cardamom; and essential oils). This went on smooth, and worked great at moisturizing my lips.

Armour Beauty Lip Gloss in Siouxsie- $21
This lip gloss is a favorite from Rachel Zoe, Eva Mendes, and  Lady Gaga. Already sounds like it is a hit. The color of this lip gloss is a bright red, which I just love. Best yet it would look perfect with the dress that I received in my Starter Bag.

And now to the best item THE DRESS

Sam & Lavi Metallic Lace Dress- $180

In one word, Amazing. This dress fit my style to the tee.  I love the color black first of all, and the detail on this dress was impeccable.  The dress is made out of a sheer gold floral lace on top, which was feminine, sophisticated, and absolutely beautiful.  The pictures of this dress just does not give it justice at all.  And, it fit perfectly!

A little detail about Sam + Lavi,  it is a LA based brand that is very popular in Hollywood right now with starts like Kim Kardasian. This company is known to stay low profile however, and many have not heard of it, Now that I have I want more from Sam & Lavi!

As I said, I was supposed to also receive Herban Essential Lavender Towelettes
($3), but they were not included in my box. I talked to Ella, and she said she would send some to me, so no worries. I just hope that they reach me soon.

Overall, this box was just amazing. This was my one splurge box during March, and I would have to say it was well worth it. The I-Ella The List Starter Bag cost $59 with $10 shipping cost, so $69 total. In all I received $205(did not include the Lavender Towelettes) worth of products. Products of which, were just outstanding! I am thoroughly impressed by the I-Ella The List Starter Bag!

Until next time,

Stephanie
