June's Dallas Shaw Glossybox Review

Glossybox June’s box came to me late, and I just got it over the weekend. However, the limited edition, special, Dallas Shaw box was one of those boxes I just had to share.  First of all, Dallas Shaw is just a classic beauty, her illustrations are just the best, and I love her style.  Even her name is awesome. So I was pretty excited to finally receive my June Glossybox.

If you have never heard of Glossybox, Glossybox is a beauty subscription that send s out premium beauty samples to members each month. The cost is $21 per month.

June’s Dallas Shaw Glossybox

c.Booth Honey Almond Nourishing Dry Oil Mist

I am the biggest fan of oils for the skin, they honestly moisturize the body better than any lotion I have ever used. This c. Booth Dry Oil  is perfect to pack into a gym bag, a weekend trip, and especially good for the summer beach bag.

Oscar de la Renta Essential Luxuries

Love this item in the June Dallas Shaw Glossybox. I had known that this would be included in this box, and could not wait to smell each perfume.  Each six sample size fragrances have been tailored to the love of beauty and luxury; Santo Domingo, Mi Corazon, Sargasso, Coralina, Granada, and Oriental Lace. Don’t the names just sound elegant, just like the bag that they were included in. Cannot wait to try these out.

Philip B. Lovin’ Leave in Conditioner

Love getting any kind of hair products in my monthly beauty boxes. This conditioner will definitely go to good use.

SpaRitual Nail Polish in Death by Chocolate

Spa Ritual  sounds like a great polish. I have never used it before, but it is 4-free and vegan. Cannot wait to try this out.

tarte Complexion enhancing lipstick

I was super excited about this tarte lipstick, and I love tarte products.  This complexion enhancing lipstick is said to make lips look more fuller and more youthful. Sounds like a great lipstick to me, and best of all it was full size!

Tickled Pink Opinion:  June’s Dallas Shaw’s Glossybox was fantastic. I loved each and every product.  And I love the illustrated box that it all came in, and the illustrated information card.  I am never disappointed with my Glossybox each month, and this June box shows me why.  This is one of the best beauty subscriptions. The products are always high quality and the value always exceeds the cost of the box.  I cannot wait to see July’s box.

June The Bride Box Review

I am a little late about posting this box, but better late than never. It seems that June just flew by, and now all my July boxes are getting here. However, I wanted to share this awesome June The Bride Box with you. I was super excited about The Bride Box from the beginning, as I am a bride-to-be myself, and was so excited to see their second The Bride Box.

What is The Bride Box?

The Bride Box is an exciting, well needed, subscription box that shares great gift, treats and ideas to help gals/ the Bride –To-Be (or Groom, if he is in on the planning as well...It is his wedding too.) on the way to THE BIG day, the wedding day.  It is perfect inspiration to help on my way to planning from every aspect of a wedding.

Cost: $35 per month

And now on to June's The Bride Box

June The Bride Box

In a Jar Foods allows you to pick from a couple different cookie mixes. I got the Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Mix in my box. The cookie mixes are 100% organic, and everything is included to make the cookie in the jar. The best part, obviously, is that you get to design the label. I think this is such a cute party favor idea. Who doesn't like cookies?

I absolutely love these. These would be perfect for any event throughout the wedding extravaganza; from the reception dinner, wedding dinner, to after the wedding, as newlyweds. I checked out Jen Ramsey Designs, and her Etsy store has so many other great items that gave me great ideas for not just my wedding day, but for 0ther parties and events as well. Great addition and ideas for those wine lovers like myself.

Luxe Lollies Lollipop in Peach Sweet Tea

This too is a very cute idea. I really like that with Luxe Lollies you can design, to make it as special as possible, you own lollipops. Luxe Lollies website allows you to walk through the whole process of making your own lollipops: from  the color, taste, extra additions like mint leaves, to what color ribbon and packaging the lollipop will be in. A green tea/jasmine lollipop in pear color was my pick.

LL Bridal Designs creates customized bridal decorations ranging from the rose pedals, cake toppers to ring pillows.

I love these heart sparklers. These are super cute idea. The worrier in me, however, makes me worried that if I used sparklers of any kind that a spark would get my dress. You can even buy these through The Bride Box store HERE.

These lavender bath bombs smell fantastic. These would be perfect for any day of the week, not just for wedding festivities. You can also buy these on The Bride Box store HERE

As twist bands become more and more popular in boxes, I am really starting to like them. I love the new twist on them, adding a cute little charm. These will most definetly come in handy. Something like these Charmed Hair Ties would be perfect for a bridesmaid's gift. These are available through The Bride Box store as well, HERE

TICKLED PINK OPINION: The second The Bride Box is just as good as the first. I love finding new companies, and new ideas for wedding planning. The ideas and items not only fit wedding planning, but they also can help with planning other parties or events. The total overall price of the items of this The Bride Box was $64. WOW! For the quality of items and inspiration it brings, this box is totally worth it.  Again another fantastically curated box by The Bride Box. Two Thumbs Up.

If you are a Bride-to-be, know a couple about to get married, or just need some great inspiration for event planning, than The Bride Box is a great box for you. If you would like to see The Bride Box's first box you can HERE. And if you would like to subscribe you can check out The Bride Box's website HERE.

Until next time…

July Bonjour Jolie "Independence" Box Review

Bonjour Jolie has been getting a more popular, and getting more press as one of those boxes that really make life easier for us ladies.  And I could not agree more. Bonjour Jolie has gotten my best all-around box prize for not just T.O.M (time of the month) box, but for all other beauty boxes I have received these last couple months.

What is Bonjour Jolie?
A  Premium Subscription Box Designed Exclusively for Women to Be Pampered During Their Period! Each Monthly Box is Filled with Hand Selected Items, Specialty Bath and Body Items, Gifts, Teas, Artisanal Candies, and of course, Feminine Products for your time of the month.

Now that I told you a little bit about Bonjour Jolie, what better theme for Bonjour Jolie’s July Box than “Independence”, since 4th of July just passed. Bonjour Jolie celebrated small business, that were started by “ a person and a dream”in this month's box.

July’s Bonjour Jolie Box

The Goods

Of course no T.O.M box is complete with the goods to get you through the month. Bonjour Jolie gives you the opportunity to pick what kind is the best fit for you.
The Gift
Chiffon Sarong

This is the best gift, and it has already gone in use for me. I love Sarongs, and this one is just beautiful. Each Sarong was imported from India, and handcrafted, that means no one Sarong is the same. It was a perfect addition for my day on the boat this weekend.

The Edibles

Toot Sweet Caramels

Not only were these in the cutest little box package, but the caramels looked delicious. I only wish that I can eat them right now. These salted honey caramels are organic, and made right in California. Yummy.

Bigelow Tea

Bigelow Tea is one of the brands of tea that have always been around my household. I did not know, however, that this company was family owned and operated to this day right in Charleston, South Carolina.  Very good tea. We can never have too much tea in our house.

The Pampering

Bath Bomb by Spa Girl Soaps

I love baths, so this Bath Bomb will come in handy.

Silky Deodorant Body Power by Bonny Bubbles

This body powder smells great and is all organic. I do not use body powder, but maybe I will give it a try.

100% Cotton Face Scrubby

This was made by Etsy shop Crochet Happy Mommy of 4, and it is a wonderful idea. I have never even thought that of using something crocheted for something other than a pot holder or coaster . Can’t wait to give this a try.

By the Sea Lotion by The Fluery Girls

This By the Sea Lotion smells great. And isn't it packaged so cute.

TICKLED PINK OPINION:  I have enjoyed each and every Bonjour Jolie Box that I have received. Each month, they surprise me with even better items than the previous month. I appreciate that a women’s time of the month box not only focus on items for the time of the month, but also items that make a women feel special; Items that we can use in everyday life. It is like getting a birthday present each month from Bonjour Jolie. The Bonjour Jolie box cost $16 per month, not including shipping, and each Bonjour Jolie box contained $24 worth of surprises, not including the T.O.M items. Well worth the monthly cost. This box is my top pick for T.O.M boxes!

What did you like best out of Bonjour Jolie July Box? If you are interested in seeing what has been in past Bonjour Jolie boxes you can  check it out HERE and HERE. And if you would like to get signed up to receive your own Bonjour Jolie Box each month you can sign up HERE, make sure to let them know I sent you. June From the Lab- Beauty Subscription Review

I was given the opportunity to try out a fairly new subscription, From the Lab. As you know if you have read through my blog, I love trying new things especially makeup. And what better than trying out makeup before it even hits the stores, and right from the source. I love it, and perfect for me, and I am excited to share it with you.

What is From the Lab?

From the Lab, pretty much skips the middle man, and selects the most exciting products right from the lab. after they have been fully approved and tested that is, and then sends it out to women to get our honest opinions on the products.  Each month members of From the Lab, get an exclusive selection of up to three color cosmetics, skin care or hair products, and then gets to try them out at a fraction of the cost.

Cost: $19.95 per month (plus shipping and handling)

June’s From the Lab

Eyelift Primer No. 328

I am a huge fan of primer for my eyes. Currently, I am using Benefit Stay Don’t Stray, and I love it. I was interested to see how the Eyelift Primer No. 328, from From the Lab, compared.

Texture: The texture of the Eyelift Primer was nice and creamy, and went on very smooth. Compared to Benefit Stay Don’t Stray, Benefit is a little thicker, and a goes a little further than Eyelift Primer No. 328.

Wear: Eyelift Primer No. 328 is said to last 12 hours, and to prevent creasing of eye shadow. While, it did help eye shadow go on nice and smooth, I do not think it made my eye shadow last longer, at least not for 12 hours. I would say it lasted about 8 hours. As for creasing, I give Eyelift Primer No. 328 an A plus. Compared to Benefit, I would say Benefit gets a little better score on the wear, as it seems to make my shadow last longer, and is better for under the eyes as well. The Eyelift Primer No. 328. has a little bit of a shimmer, very subtle, and I did not feel it would look as good under the eye as it did on the eye lid.

What makes it Special: Eyelift Primer No. 328 is said to help with fine lines and wrinkles, and also has coffee extract which helps fight free radical damage, and help improve the skins appearance. Compared to Benefit, which is said to help with aging, I am not sure if I saw any of the benefits that either eye primer promotes. I really do think this is a tie when it comes to what makes it special.

Overall, I really do love my Benefit Stay Don’t Stray, and may be partial. However, Eyelift Primer No. 328, was not bad at all. It really did make for a good surface on the eye lid for shadows, or by itself. I think this will be a good primer for a relax day, when I want to look natural.

Face Primer No. 327

This Face Primer No. 327 is said to keep your makeup looking fresh for 24 hours. It also is said to enhance while repairing the appearance of your skin, with helping anti-aging, minimizing pores, and protecting the skin.

Just a background, I am not a big face primer fan, but I am always willing to give it a try. My skin is pretty oily naturally so I find that many primers just make me feel oilier after I put my makeup on. What I liked about the Face Primer No. 327, is that it was really light. It went on nice and smooth, dried very quickly, and I did not notice it on afterwards, which I liked. I didn’t really notice that my makeup went on any different, but I felt like my skin was softer.

The Face Primer No. 327, is said to help skin feeling soft and silky all day long. I do not think I could say it lasted all day long. However, I get oily throughout the day around my t-zone, but the other parts of my face seemed to stay soft and silky feeling all day long.  This seemed more like a moisturizer than anything though.

Tickled Pink Opinion: Overall I really think that From the Lab is a great and inventive subscription service. When it comes to beauty products, I think it is great that a company like From the Lab, is going to straight to the heart of who is really going to be buying these products, us women. And the price of this subscription is not too much to pay for high end beauty products. The monthly $19.95, would hardly cover just one of the primers at the store.

What do you think of From the Lab? If you would like to learn more about From the Lab, or to sign up  you can HERE.

Until next time

New Subscription Splendies Review and Promo Code

It seems that the underwear subscription is becoming quite popular right now. I am not complaining, I love getting new undies without having to go out to the store. And, adding some new and fun panties in my wardrobe is always okay. Introducing the monthly subscription, Splendies.

What is Splendies?

Well Splendies  is a great subscription that sends put 3 pairs of underwear to your door each month.  You just choose your size and they will do the rest. Shipping is really fast, you can change your size at any time, or you can cancel at any time as well.

Cost: $12 $8 per month with Promo Code “PINK”

June Splendies Bag

Forever 21 White Cotton Thong

This was a Forever 21 Thong, and very pretty. I think this is a great every day kind of thong, and would be something I would pick out for myself. Very practical, yet flirty.

Black and Hot Pink Heart String Thong

This was also from Forever 21. The tags are left on each pair of the Splendies panties so you know what brand they are. However, the price was left on this pair. These were worth $3, but marked down to .99 cents. I really like bargains as much as the other, but I think it would have been nice to not have the price left on.  All in all these panties, probably will not be worn much. The hot pink hearts are cute, but string is not really my thing.

Rose Intimates Hot Pink Lace Hip Huggers

These were my favorite, and a perfect style for me. The fit was perfect, and something that I would pick out for myself.  Just this hip hugger pair in the Splendies pack made it worth it.

TICKLED PINK OPINION: I love that Splendies is affordable, and who does not like new undies. I think that the concept is great, and will catch on quickly with customers. I cannot wait to see packages in the months ahead. The only thing I can say was I wish the packaging was different, at least for my Splendies pack. Other ladies Splendies packs showed up in pretty pink packages, and each panty was individually packaged in cute little bags. My Splendies pack on the other hand was packaged in a mailroom shipping bag and wrapped in tissue.  I really do not mind, but I think that there needs to be consistency in subscription boxes. And, I vote for the pretty pink package with individually wrapped panties in cute bags, please.

Splendies ranges in size from S to XL. However, for more curvy women there also is Volupties.

Volupties also sends 3 pairs of panties each month. The cost per month for Volupties is $17, but with Promo Code “ Pink “ the first month is only $12. If you are interested in learning more about Volupties you can HERE?

What do you think of Splendies or Volupties? Does your wardrobe need a underwear makeover? You can sign up for Splendies HERE and Volupties HERE.

PROMO CODE:

$4 off Splendies ($12 now $8)  using Promo Code “ PINK” ; and
$5 off Volupties ($17 now$12)  using Promo Code “PINK”.

Until next time
