Zim's Max-Freeze to the Rescue- Review

Awhile back I got the chance to try out some products for muscles and joint pain from Zim’s. I first have to tell you I really do have any joint or muscle pain, but A gets pains in his lower back and shoulder here and there. He started getting the pain more so after he had a fender bender a couple years ago. It seems once you hurt your back area, it is never the same.  Do not get me wrong he is fine, but when stressed in those areas , they tend to tense/ flare  up. Not fun.

Zim’s Max-Freeze really did come at just the right time. A and I were just starting up Tapout XT, which, yes, is a pretty kick-butt workout (This was a few months ago, and we need to get back on course with our workout again! Boo I hate when I fall off the exercise wagon.) Anyways, back to what I was talking about, so after starting our workout regiment A was very tight, sore, and lets just say for a couple days he could not move very well. In come Zim’s Max-Freeze! A put this on after every workout and at night after getting out of the shower. He said it worked very well. I put it on his shoulders a couple nights and, wow, yes it indeed is good stuff. I had to make sure I washed my hands well.  A very strong cooling effect! A even said this was better than the other brands he used, so that was a big win.

What I really like about the Zim’s Max-Freeze is that it is made of organic ILEX, Aloe, Tea Tree Oil, and smells great. Yes, the smell is strong, but it fades fairly quickly, especially compared to other brands.  I also love that the Max-Freeze is a gel and grease-less, so when putting a shirt on afterwards you are not going to get any oily residue on it.

Zim’s Max-Freeze can be purchased in a tube or on a roll-on container. A preferred the tube, but the roll-on was easier for me to help him with.

Tube Gel- $9.99

 Roll-On Gel $9.99

TICKLED PINK OPINION

Overall, Zim’s Max-Freeze was a big win for us. We still keep it handy for the days that A needs it. I definetly would say that Zim’s Max-Freeze is a step up from the other brands. And, any product that makes my hun fell better gets and A from me!

Movie Night in Nashville- February Batch Nashville Review

I am the biggest fan of locality boxes. One of the reasons why is because it gives me the opportunity to try out products from places that I have never been before, that I otherwise would never have gotten to try. The latest and greatest box comes from, Tennesee! Nashville to be specific!  Batch Nashville graciously offered to share their recent Movie Night box with me, and it was a hit!

What is Batch Nashville?
Batch Nashville is a monthly subscription that brings the best of Nashville to your door each month. The monthly cost is $31.98. For March, April and May, Batch Nashville has already revealed the excitement behind the box themes (March- Family Traditions; April- Country Roads; and May- Grillin’ & Chillin’). Sounds very exciting.

What I was really intrigued by is Batch is not just limited to Batch Nashville, but also Batch Memphis, newly announced Batch Weddings; and an exciting new subscription- Tour of the South, which includes the following:

·         April - Nashville (gotta start at home)
·         May - Charleston (you keep telling us we need to go there)
·         June - Atlanta (the South's largest city makes some mighty fine delights)
·         July - New Orleans (we're bringing the party to you)
·         August - Birmingham (you're going to love the pride of this city)
·         September - Austin (we'll see how weird we can keep it)

Sounds very exciting, and now which ones to pick they all sound great!

February Batch Nashville
Movie Night Box

Batch Nashville themed this box around movie night. Everything in this box was perfect for any movie night party!

Bang Candy Company $5
These are homemade gourmet marshmallows, and they definetly are unique and yummy. Bang Candy Company also makes caramels and syrups, which look delish!

Lisa’s Kettle Corn $5
Well, I am not sure on the price of this kettle corn, but it sure is good. It is a mixture of kettle corn with caramel corn. Very tasty. And Batch Nashville included a full size bag.

Tempur by CG $10
These were just too yummy for words. What is great is these chocolates have marshmallows included in the box, because the marshmallows get infused with the condensation of the chocolate. I really liked reading about Chef Chelsea Gunn’s new line of chocolates coming out, Cabernet infused Sea Salt, Black Pepper and Sweet Jalapeño. Very interesting sounding, but I am sure just fabulous.

White Elixirs Saigon Cinnamon $10
This is a great simple sugar mixture perfect for cooking, sodas, teas, coffees, cocktails, etc. A little mixture of this with coffee, and Baileys was delicious.

And the Winner Is... Napkins  $3

These are a perfect touch to any party, and perfect timing for the Oscars coming up. No dirty and messy hands for us thanks to Batch Nashville!

TICKLED PINK OPINION
I really love the follow through concept of Movie Night that  Batch Nashville stuck with throughout this box. All I needed is a movie included in the box, and I was set! I really enjoy experiencing other local treats and goodies. If it were not for a fantastic subscription like Batch Nashville I would probably never have gotten to try these local treats! The cost of this box is around $31.98, and Batch Nashville included around $33 (approximately) worth of items in this month’s box.  I was very happy with the value of the box, taking into account I could never get all these goodies separately including paying shipping and handling for $31.98. I now cannot wait to try out all the other Batch subscriptions. I really also would love to learn more about Batch Wedding, since I need to get busy with my wedding plans.

February Valentine's Lip Factory box Review

I look forward to the mail day when I get my favorite beauty box. This month it came a little later than I expected, but it was worth the wait. Like always! Lip Factory for February was just as great as I expected it to be.

What is Lip Factory?
Lip Factory is a beauty subscription that curates fantastic beauty boxes, with great beauty/makeup for you to explore and try out. Lip Factory prides itself of sending out new brands and new colors to their subscribers.

Cost: $22.00  per month

February Lip Factory box

February Lip Factory box had a little of everything, and I could not more excited to share this great beauty subscription with my readers.

TEEZ Trendy Cosmetics Eve’s Ready to Wear Lipstick in Never Ending Nude$19
I really have enjoyed the other TEEZ Trendy Cosmetic products that Lip Factory has included in past boxes, so I was excited to finally get to try a lip stick. I am used to getting really bold lipsticks, but this lipstick is very natural, and goes on super smooth. What I really like about TEEZ products is that their packaging is so cool looking, very appealing to the eye.

TEEZ Trendy Cosmetics Desert Metals Mascara in Midnight Sky $21
I love getting mascara, and especially when they are full size. One great part of Lip Factory subscription is that everything that you get is full sized! Another product from TEEZ, and I could not be more happy about the application of this mascara, very nice!

Eyelashi Eyelashes $9
I have never used fake eyelashes on my eyelashes, but I think I may try these ones out. I love the packaging of these. These eyelashes are hand-tied with natural fibers. I cannot wait to see how they work.

LASplash Chubby Twist in Cabernet$10
I am in the biggest fan of Chubby Twist type lipsticks/lip balms. This reminds me of the Revlon one that I use, and exactly the shade I would purchase for myself if I was getting it at a store. I love a nice warm lip for colder months.

Starlooks Loose Pan Eyeshadow in Neutral Perp $10
I really really love the color that came in my Lip Factory box this month, a perfect color for me. I have gotten Starlooks shadow  before, and have been pretty impressed, so I really like getting this natural color for my lids.

TICKLED PINK OPINION

I do not think you could find a bigger fan of Lip Factory subscription box than myself, haha. Yes, this is  by far my favorite beauty subscription. I love that I am always introduced to new products, and even better you get to try full sized products. This months, February Lip Factory box was perfect for the month, and a great box for my birthday month! In all I calculated the Lip Factory box to include approximately $69 worth of beauty products, and the monthly cost is only $22 per month. Can we say “WOW”, that is triple the month cost. Like always, I cannot wait to see what they have in store for March. Lip Factory announced they teamed up with CARGO, and I am super excited!

February Wantable Intimates Box Review

I finally decided that after looking through all the many spoilers from past Wantable boxes, that I would give in and finally get one of their boxes. However, which one to get was the tough question: Intimates, Makeup or Accessories? If I could I would pick them all I would. In the end, I decided to go with the Intimates box.

What is Wantable?
Wantable brings the world of fashion and beauty right to your doorstep. After taking a style quiz, to gauge what would work best for your style, whether you pick the intimates box, accessories box or makeup box, Wantable sends a box full of the latest and greatest trendy hand picked items right to your door. Cost $36 for subscription or $40 for a one-time purchase.

February Wantable Intimates Box

Above is my style profile/ information sheet, which shows  my loves, likes and dislikes. The information card also lets me know what brand everything is, and what the retail price is. My box this month exceeded $82 in value. Just amazing. Wantable is quickly becoming one of my favorites! Now if I could only get some Betsey Johnson! I love Betsey Johnson, and those items are what drew me more to this box than any!

Fleur’t Sweet Emotion High Low Shorts $24
This is probably one of my favorite items in my Wantable Intimates box this month. I know that these will be great for sleepy time during the summer. I also love how soft they feel.

Look by M Solid Cotton Leggings in Violet $22
Well one thing I love is that Wantable included leggings. I love leggings. The only thing I did not like was the choice in color. I am not a violet wearing kind of girl. I may be able to pull these off just lounging around the house, so I guess they are alright. Not a color I would ever buy on my own though.

Muk Luk Footless Tights $15
These are super cute, and black! Black is my color when it comes to tights. Wantable gets an A when it comes to picking this item. And, I have heard so many great things about Muk Luk, so I am super excited to try these tights out.

Alo Yoga V-Neck Tank $21
I really like the feel of this shirt, and will use this for working out. Wantable must think I really like blue, which I do sometimes, but I do not wear a lot of sky or navy blue. However, for working out this Alo Yoga shirt will work just fine.

TICKLED PINK OPINION
I was super excited about Wantable and very excited about my Intimates box.  I really did like my box, and think it was well worth the $36 I spent on the box. I only wish that they would have spent a little more time picking out items that better fit my style. Maybe that means adding more questions in the styling profile. I am not sure.  I have spent lot of time looking over other Wantable Intimates box that have been received this month, and there were a couple that I definitely would have been more excited to receive over mine. Needless to say,  I am excited for next month’s box, and maybe with some tweaking on my style profile I can get more of what I am looking for.

What did you think of the Wantable Intimates box for February? If you are interested in learning more or signing up, you can HERE.

Urthbox Review- A Healthy You!

Happy President’s Day, and hope you had a great Monday! I am always on the look out for good healthy food and lifestyle products, and when I found Urthbox I knew I found a subscription that I knew I had to find out more about. When Urthbox graciously offered to send me a box to sample I, of course, took them up on their offer to try out their new subscription.

What is Urthbox?
Urthbox, Discover a Healthier You. This  is a new subscription that allows you to try out the healthy new foods, beverages, snacks and more for your home, the office or on-the-go every month. You first pick what Urthbox you would like to try first: Gluten Free, Classic, Vegan or Diet.  Each box costs $25 per month. And each month you will get to enjoy 12-15 brand new full sized foods, snacks, beverages or lifestyle products each month, up to $50 value.

January Urthbox
Classic Box

I am a little late reviewing this box, but I did not get this until February. However, by no means was it Urthbox's fault. USPS said that the box had to be signed for, so they did not leave it at the door. Then, I did not get a notice that they attempted to deliver, so I did not know until a couple weeks later that it was waiting at the post office. Needless to say I finally received it, and it was still very delightful and everything was still good to eat!

Next by Nature Chocolate Cashews
Okay, so even when you are trying to eat healthy you need to eat something to cure that sweet tooth. These chocolate cashews are so yummy. Seriously, I could have ate them all on my own. But since I do not need them all, I shared.

Tasty Bite Indian Cuisine
I am not really into Indian food, curry or anything like that. But, my family members like more spice driven food like this. And, it is a healthy and quick version so I know they will really like it. When I say quick I mean quick, 1-minute meal! Perfect!

Annie Chun’s White Sticky Rice
I know I am Asian, and it is stereotypical that all asian’s eat rice. I am just not too into rice. It is very tasty, especially in Sushi, but it just is not in my diet. However, A will love this fast rice dish.

Justin’s Classic Almond Butter
Yummy! I really am quite the almond, peanut, cashew butter lover. This was perfect for me, and perfect to take on the go to work.

Inka Giant Corn in Salt and Vinegar
Well these were just delish. We opened these right up and started grubbing, as I am sure you can see by the picture since the bag is open. I usually do not like corn nuts, but these were so good. And, they were huge. Seriously, they were quadruple the size of regular corn nuts.

Wow Baking Company Oregon Oatmeal Cookie
A’s favorite kind of cookies are oatmeal cookies, so you know who got to enjoy this one. I try my hardest to stay away from sweets, so it was my pleasure to let him try this yummy looking cookie out. i already know they are yummy, because they felt super soft, and a soft cookie is always a yummy one.

Annie’s Organic Horseradish Mustard
It is so interesting that when I was younger I really disliked mustard, but now i could eat it all the time. I was excited to try this mustard out. Great addition to January’s Urthbox.

Dang Toasted Coconut Chips
These are quite popular in my house, and they are just the tastiest. I have received these in other boxes, so I was excited to see them in January’s Urthbox. I would grab these over chips any day. Very good!

NEO Organic Energy and Electrolytes
Finding a healthier energy drink has been very big on my To-Do’s lists. I have been trying my hardest to stay away from energy drinks and coffee, so this may be a good substitute.

EXTRA- Reed’s Ginger Chews
A little sweet with spice. I have grown up with my whole family loving ginger candies of all sorts, but I just do not like it. I cannot get over at how spicy it is at times. I know these will not go without someone enjoying the tasty treat.

TICKLED PINK OPINION
I did not do a price break down of this box, but I think the box seems to be definitely worth every penny, especially with the convenience of brining healthy alternatives for snacks right to my door. From my experience I know that it is hard with everything else: work, family, and everything, plus trying to add in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and eating right, well, it just gets a little hectic. I really like everything about Urthbox, and cannot wait to experience the other boxes that Urthbox offers. What I Also think is extra great about Urthbox is not only in the information card does it tell you more about each product, but it also tells you where you can get the product. For example, now I know I can get those yummy chocolate cashews at my local Fred Meyer. Definetly a great addition to the information card! Eating right and staying healthier is getting just a little bit easier with the help of Urthbox!

If you are interested in learning more about Urthbox or signing up, you can HERE.

Until next time…
