Best of February, IPSY, Birchbox, Sample Society, and More

If you have read my blog before you can tell that I like all sorts of monthly subscription boxes, especially the beauty ones. For February I did not review a few boxes, as the month of February just flew by me. So I thought for this month I would pick the products I liked best from each monthly subscription box. A Best of February highlight reel so to say, for the  IPSY Glam Bag,  Birchbox,  Sample Society and one extra beauty find that I am just loving.

So here we go, First off...

IPSY Glam Bag BEST OF FEBRUARY  PICK
Coastal Scents Shadow Palette

I noticed that some Ipsy members got a shadow palette with some colors I did not really like, however, I got this palette, with some smokey colors. I have been wearing these shadow colors every day now, as they are very versatile. The shadows go on great, and they stay on throughout the day. I have no complaints.

Birchbox BEST OF FEBRUARY  PICKS
Dr. Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips

Yes, it was made originally made for exactly what it says,  nipples. However, it is amazing for the lips. Bonus is that it also can also be used for cuticles, split ends, sunburns and even diaper rash. It is very thick, and a little goes a long way. Overall I give this a double thumbs up!

Dermablend Smooth Indulgence SPF 20 Concealer

This was a great find, and I was instanly hooked. It is a great concealer for those days when you just need to cover up those dark circles, or blemishes. This product is said to even cover up birth marks.  It blends perfectly, without feeling too thick on the face.  Again a little goes a long way. Great addition to the Birchbox this month!

Beauty Bar- Sample Society BEST OF FEBRUARY PICKS
First off, it was very hard not to pick each item out of this month’s box. All the products I am currently using, and love. However, a couple stood out.

Diptyque Eau duelle Toilette

I usually dread getting perfumes in any monthly subscription box, as I am very picky about my perfumes. However, this was absolutely the best perfume I have come across in a very long time. The smell is an exotic twist of vanilla and spicy, with a great feminine floral fusion.  I was drawn to this perfume even more because it is not heavy or overbearing.  Cannot wait to get a full size version!

Exude Lip gloss in Brown No. 3

This lipgloss is just great.  It is shaped like a lipstick, but with a little twist and it comes out of little vents on the top. It is smooth and creamy, yet very sheer.  The Brown No. 3 is a perfect natural nude color, that would look great on anyone. And... best of all Sample Society gave a full size version of this Exude lip gloss. Another great find!

My Own pick for BEST OF FEBRUARY

Benefit Cosmetics It's Potent! Eye Cream

This is exactly what I have been looking for! This helps makes eyes firmer, while brightening eyes, and diminishing dark circles. And when I say it is made to do all those things, I mean it. This is my must have now in the morning, and before I got to bed. It is now a must have addition to my daily facial regiment. I have to say thanks Benefit Cosmetics for a outstanding product!

What was your favorite product or find this month? Would love to hear suggestions.

Until next time

A New Find... I-Ella

Was looking for some new boxes to subscribe to this week and came across I-Ella The List Gift Bag. I have seen some reviews online, and they include some extremely awesome products each month. However, it is a little pricey.

Here are the different gift bag options:

Starter Bag                      Soho Bag                    St. Barth's Bag
$59                                       $129                              $389

Yes, A little pricey. But, I was sucked in by a review I read on Mysubscriptionaddiction today HERE, and the products she received. I mean look at this  Billy Kirk Leather Tote, I love it!

I was curious if others have subscribed to I-Ella The List Gift Bag, and what is your impression of this monthly subscription ? Also, does the Billy Kirk Leather Tote come in the  I-Ella The List Gift Bag Starter Bag for $59? If so, I am 100% in.  Please share your thoughts or reviews!

Until next time...

Pink Beryl Essentials is In

Excited to have finally received my Pink Beryl Essentials tights, yes tights, subscription.  And to think I was just about to go out to the store to buy some new tights today. Yes, unfortunately, it is still tights weather here in Seattle. As odd as it might sound to some (not sure if I am the odd one out here), I somehow  always seem to snag my tights. I know it seems hard when tights are a thicker material, but I seem to manage to get snags all the time. So, as a working woman, I tend to go through tons of tights. I actually have a whole drawer full of tights (or nylons). As you can imagine, I was more than excited to get these Pink Beryl Essential tights in the mail today.

This is my first monthly shipment of Pink Beryl Essential tights. You can read more about Pink Beryl Monthly subscription HERE, if you too are a lover of tights .  Each month they send you two pairs of tights for $20.  And if you too would like to subscribe to Pink Beryl Essentials you can check them out  HERE.

For my first months Pink Beryl Essential picks
this is what I got:

Chloe

Amy

I like thicker tights, and these two choices were perfect.  I have not had a chance to wear them yet, but will keep you updated on their wear.

Next months picks are already selected as well.  These are my two picks for next month. Cannot wait!

A little different than other monthly subscription services, but I really like Pink Beryl Essentials so far. I will give another month a try and keep you updated.

Anyone come across any other unique monthly subscription boxes lately? Let me know, always love to hear about, or better yet, try new things.

Until next time.

Dumplingbox Lunar New Year Box

My February Dumplingbox came today,  Exciting! This is my second dumplingbox, and I  am loving all of the Asian treats included in this box. The theme of this dumplingbox was the Lunar New Year, which is the Asian New Year, which fell on  February 10th this year.

If you are wondering what the dumplingbox is, it is a box that is dedicated to spreading the deliciousness of Asian snacks. You can read more about dumplingbox HERE or check out dumplingbox HERE.

I have always enjoyed Asian snacks, as I am Asian myself.  And I have always enjoyed going to Uwjimaja, an Asian store here in Seattle, to buy all those hard to find treats. However, I have always stuck with the common candy like Pocky (which is included in this box, lucky me) or Rice Candy. Subscribing to this box is allowing me to try new treats, all of which have been a very good!

Take a look at all the tasty treats included in this box:

All dumplingboxes include a list of all the items included in the box, and an ingredient list.

Sorry about the quality of Picture. Took it quickly.

My favorite item in this month's dumplingbox was the Pocky Strawberry Cream, which brings back childhood memories. I would highly recommend dumplingbox if you are looking for a little Asian goodness in your life!

Until next time...

The Bulu Box

Bulu Box a vitamin, supplement and general health subscription sample box designed to help you feel your best. Every month, you'll get a box filled with 4 to 5 premium samples from top brands for $10 per month.

I am not a current subscriber to Bulu, but I just found out about their new subscription box, Bulu Weight Loss Box, and I decided to give it a try.

What is the Bulu Weight Loss Box?

Each month the box will include a variety of weight loss items that target weight loss for men and women.  These 4-5 items include such items as supplements, fitness gear and healthy eating tools.

What is the difference between Bulu’s Weight Loss Box and the Regular Box?

The regular Bulu box seems just as great, and includes 4-5 items for men and women that target all areas of health. These 4-5 items, again, include supplements, vitamins, plus some lifestyle extras.

I am very excited about the Bulu Weight Loss box, and cannot wait to share it with you when it arrives.

Graze kind of day

A great and nutritious way to start the week off was getting my Graze box today. Not to mention that I had, yet again, forgotten to bring a lunch. But leave it to Graze to save the day.

Graze cost only $5.00 per week, and you get some pretty tasty nutritious treats each week.  You also can opt to have it delivered every other week, or skip a week all together. Graze is very accommodating . You can read more about Graze in my other post HERE.

ALSO If you use my promo code MYMZQDZD you can also get your 1st week for FREE!

GRAZELIGHT BOX this week
  • Boston Baguettes-

BBQ relish with tomato breadsticks
Only 84 calories per serving.

  • Little Figgy Went to the Market

diced figs, cranberries and apple
Only 95 calories and 1 serving of fruit!

  • Hot Cross Yum (*My favorite out of this box*)

  • Poached Pear

Only 106 calories, and again a good source of vitamins and minerals.

One more plus about Graze,  is if you do not like a treat they send in a box you receive you can rate it when you log on to your account. The rating system is either: “ Trash” it; want to “Try” it; “ Like” it;  or “Love” it. A good plus so you one of the treats received did not suit your taste buds.

Apple of My Eye Jewelry GIVEAWAY

I fell in love with a company named Apple of my Eye Jewelry after I spotted a couple pieces of their jewelry while browsing Sassysteal and VeryJane websites. If you never have checked out these two sites , please do.  Both sites have awesome deals on the latest jewelry all the way to little kid bow ties, which are adorable, to jewelry organizers.  Check them out HERE AND HERE.

I have now purchased a couple items from Apple of My Eye Jewelry over the last couple months, and I am hooked.

My favorite item so far was this little gold, heart bracelet I bought myself to wear on Valentine’s Day. I liked the bracelet so much I bought two.

Apple of my Eye Jewelry sells their great items in their Etsy shop (HERE), and on sites like Sassysteal and VeryJane. You can also spot much of their jewelry seen on Cara Loren, a wonderful blogger who writes about fashion, family, life, and beauty ( I also will add that she has amazing hair). You can check out Cara Loren’s blog HERE.

My favorite part about many pieces of jewelry through Apple of my Eye Jewelry is that they are pieces inspired by the latest designs that are coming from JCrew, Tony Burch, Stella and Dot, and Kate Spade, to name a few. How great is that? If you are someone like myself you like to spend wisely.  You can go spend $195 on a Tory Burch Clover necklace or one very, very similar at Apple of my Eye Jewelry for $13 (see favorite picks below). I choose to stick with Apple of my Eye Jewelry’s Tory Burch inspired version, which I just purchased as well.

And to top it off their jewelry is fantastic. AND their service is suburb. I have received each piece of jewelry very promptly after ordering, and with no problems at all.

Some of my  favorite pieces at
Apple of my Eye Jewelry:

To show how much I really like Apple of My Eye Jewelry, I want to giveaway one of my favorites, the gold heart bracelet to a lucky ready. You can enter below.

And make sure to check out Apple of My Eye Jewelry HERE or on their Facebook page HERE

Julep Second Time Around

I just couldn’t help myself, and so I got another Julep Cupid Mystery Box. It was such a great deal the first time around.  The second time around, I was hopeful that I would get some Baublebar jewelry, but no luck. However, I am very happy with my box. And, even better, no duplicate colors. If you want to see my first box you can read HERE.

And now my second
Julep Cupid Mystery Box

In the second box I got four nail polishes:
  • Aubrey;
  •  Susie;
  • Alfre; and
  • Jane, (which is not a holographic color. I thought it was at first, but thank you to the helpful people out there who pointed it out to me.)

I also was lucky enough to get a lip gloss in Poppy. And it was not an empty box this time. Julep is a great company, and they will be replacing the lip gloss that was missing in my first box. (hopefully not Poppy). Looking forward to receiving that soon.

Overall , I am always happy with the Julep boxes thus far. The box did not include as many items as other boxes I have seen online, and I did not receive a holographic polish or a "One Free Polish " card, which are supposed to be in every box. I guess Julep just wanted to hear from me again :) Julep cannot get enough of me, hahaha.  Untill next time.

Cravebox Cooking Light Review

Cravebox has to be one of my favorite subscription sights and boxes out there right now. Not only do they have a couple of boxes every month, but you can opt in and out as you see what the boxes are.  They have an AXE men’s box out right now, but I opted out of that one, and they have this Cooking Light series of boxes. I have not purchased the whole series yet, but I think after this box I will be getting all of them.  Each box cost about anywhere from $10 to $15. This Cooking Light Box- Start Your Year Off Light cost $16.

You can see the other post about the Zatarains box I got at the end of January HERE.

Cravebox Cooking Light- Start Your Year Off Light Box

  • A& W TEN

One can of rootbeer, and only 10 calories. Yummy!

  • Snackwell ‘s Fudge Pretzels

My favorite part of the box.  Chocolate and Pretzels I guess a healthy indulgence is okay!!

  • Belvita Breakfast Biscuits in Cinnamon Brown Sugar

Cravebox put a pack of the Belvita Blueberry Biscuits in another box, and I thought they were great. Cannot wait to taste the Cinnamon Brown Sugar.

  • Sunrype Strawberry Fruitstips

These are a great snack. They were in the snack box that Cravebox had last month. These are like a fruit by the foot, but a more healthy adult version.

  • Barilla White Fiber and Veggie Pasta

I must admit I am not the biggest pasta eater, but I am sure I can find someone in my family who would love some pasta. Barilla is a great brand of pasta though. I am interested in knowing what the veggie pasta is all about.

And..

  • Trident Gum in Island Berry Lime

A great tasting sugar free gum. I opened this immediately, and tastes great!!

Best of all Cravebox also always adds  in great coupons, from dollar off to free. In this box they have added coupons for Belvita, Snackwell’s, Barillas  and Trident. A great addition to this Cravebox, especially if you would like to go buy some of these tasty treats after sampling.  Additionally, Cravebox Cooking Light has added a great little Cooking Light recipe and healthy tips book, which looks to have some tasty recipes inside. I am looking forward to April's Cooklight Light 2nd box- Fast Meals.  Check out Cravebox HERE if you are interested.
