August Glossybox Review

I received so many boxes during August, I am still trying to review all of them. We are in a middle of planning a move , then  there is work, taking care of the little one, and my fun time is having this blog. So, I am trying to prioritize and stretch my time to accomplish all I can right now. Not the easiest thing to do.  Anyways, enough of the venting. One box that I didn’t want to miss reviewing is the August Glossybox. I always look forward to the Glossybox each month, and this month it was really a great box.

What is Glossybox?
Glossybox is a beauty subscription that send s out premium beauty samples to members each month. The cost is $21 per month.

AUGUST BOHEMIAN SUMMER GLOSSYBOX

For August Glossybox themed their box around making the most out of the end of the summer, carpe diem!

Sue Devitt Triple C- Weed Pressed Powder

I was most excited about this product in the August Glossybox, as I really like trying new pressed powders. Who knows it could be better than the brand that I am currently using, and if I didn’t try it out I would be missing out.  This is a full size compact of the pressed powder, that is designed to help control shine and even out skin tone. I really like this pressed powder, but it did not offer enough coverage for me to make it a part of my everyday makeup routine. However, it would be good to keep on me if I need to touch up my face.

Pandora's Nail Polish

This nail polish was made exclusively for Glossybox. Since the trend these days is a more nude shade of polish the colors Pandaora picked for the Glossybox collection reflected the current trend. I could not find the name of the color that was in my Glossybox, but it really is a pretty sheer light pink color.

Anatomicals Spray Mist for  Me Facial Spritz

This is a great spritz for  post work out. This Facial Mist contains lavender and refreshing peppermint, which is perfect to rehydrate and revitalize the skin. What I like best about this is that it is good for sensitive skin.

Novex Brazilian Keratin Hair Care Treatment Cream

I really am excited about this hair treatment cream.  I am currently using Wen hair treatment and it is amazing. However, I am almost out, so I am hopeful that this will do equally well of a job. These types of hair treatments really get your hair back into shape.

Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush

Really loving lip stain lately, such a great light way to make your lips really pop. And, Glossybox included a full size Jelly Pong Pong Lip Blush in this box.

Guess Jean Makeup Bag

This was an added surprise in this month’s Glossybox, and I really love the makeup bag. I would love it if a makeup bag or added gift was added in every Glossybox! Great addition to this month’s Glossybox.

TICKLED PINK OPINION: I was really impressed by August Glossybox, as I am with most Glossyboxes. Each item, if not full size, was a great size sample of the product.  I cannot wait to try each item in this box. And for the cost of $21 per month, I think that the quality and value included in August Glossybox was well worth the monthly price, especially with the added gift of the Guess Jean Makeup bag.  I already am looking forward to September Box.

What did you think of August Glossybox?  If you are interested in signing up for Glossybox you can HERE.

Until next time

New Subscription- Little Miss Goodie Bags August Review

As you all know I love subscription boxes, and I especially love seeing new concepts for subscription boxes. The box I am about to introduce I just love. I just got the chance to try out this new subscription called Little Miss Goodie Bags and I cannot tell you how much I like this new subscription box.  This box makes me want to start planning party, after party, after party

What is Little Miss Goodie Bags?

Each month you will receive a box in the mail containing decorations and ideas to have a themed party for 8.  Each Little Miss Goodie Bags Box is filled with homemade and handpicked items geared towards everyone!  All this fun packed in one box, and then delivered right to your door for the cost ranging between $34.95 to $29.95, depending on what subscription plan you pick.

August Gone Surfin'
Little Miss Goodie Bags

The theme for the August Little Miss Goodie Bags was Gone Surfin', which I think is just the cutest idea.  Not only did the Little Miss Goodie Bags provide the decorations to have a great party, but also some great tips/ideas  to use at your own party as well.

8 Flag Banner

Don't worry oven was not on during the taking of this picture. Looks dangerous huh.

This was super cute, and perfect to decorate above or hanging on a  snack bar location. The colors with the Gone Surfing theme are just awesome as well.

Cupcake Liners (24 count)

No party is complete without some yummy sweet treats. Thus, the cupcake liners. You could use these for actual cupcakes or these would be great liners for other treats to serve at the Gone Surfin' Party, like Life Savers or Gold Fish Crackers (ideas from Little Miss Goodie Bags idea card).

Surfboard Toppers (8 count) -$2

These toppers are just the cutest, and my favorite decoration out of the bunch. These indeed would make a cupcake topper, but they also would be perfect as a sandwich holder or to push into a rice crispy treat. The possibilities are endless.

Mini Banner/Cake Topper

I just love these cute banners on cakes. A little banner like this just  makes a cake stand out even more.  I will most definitely be using this on a cake some time in the future.

Food Tents (8 count)

These are to label the food so people know what they are eating. However,  they also could be great name placement cards. The details of the little wood panel car on the food tents is great, a perfect surfer car.

Straws with flags (8 count)

Love stripped flags. These cute little decorations just add a little zest to the every day party drink.

Galvanized Buckets with Gone Surfing Décor (8 count)

The possibilities for these little buckets are endless as well. You could fill them up with treats for take home party favors, or use them as table decorations. A great little extra to add pop to any party.

Paper Poms (3 count)

Poms are just a great little addition to any party décor. I sometimes am amazed that just a  little thing like poms or pinwheels can make a party look so different.

TICKLED PINK OPINION:  I really love this first Little Miss Goodie Bags. What I love most about this box is that these decorations are handmade. I usually like to make my own decorations as well, so I know how much work it takes to put together decorations like these. So having a box like this available to parents who are just really busy is great. No matter how busy you are, your party can look great. Overall,  I was very impressed with each and every item, and cannot wait to get my use out of them.  I think I may coordinate these decorations with a Surfer/Shark theme kids birthday party. Our little one loves fish and sharks. Yes, I know, Sharks and Surfers, should they be at a party together, haha. Well at my parties yes.

What did you think of the Little Miss Goodie Bags? You have a special party you need to decorate for, well look no further. If you want to see past boxes from Little Miss Goodie Bags OR  If you want to get your own box, you can HERE.

Until next time
Stay Tickled Pink,

Stephanie

August Bro Box Review

It is amazing that September is here already, and I still have some August Boxes to review. One of which is a box I really get excited to receive each month, and it is not even for me. Bro Box is a fairly new subscription that comes for my fiance’, but he shares some of the goodies that are co-ed items.  This month was not any different, and has to be one of my favorite boxes out of the Bro Boxes that we have received thus far.

What is BroBox?

BroBox is the box that helps the average “Bro” find unique, new, and awesome products without having to put any effort into it. Awesome products delivered right to your door. With a world full of subscriptions curated more towards women, BroBox decided that men need more subscriptions boxes as well.  Each month BroBox will feature five unique brands and their products, as well as a special BroBox Prize in their monthly box. Cost is $14.95 per month.

August Bro Box

Accel Recover - $2

These all natural bars are great for after workouts. These are packed with three carbohydrates that help to replenish muscle depletion. With our current workout plan, this is perfect for an after workout snack for A ( easier than calling him my fiance’ all the time. A is for Andrew, if anyone was ever wondering what my fiance’s name is, haha).

Man Salt Muscle  Soak- $3

Man Salt is a custom formula engineered to relax achy muscles, improve skin quality, and leave users’ skin smelling great. Man Salt is specifically made for men looking to relax their muscles after a strenuous workout/ day at a work site, etc. A  has really been having some muscle tension after our workouts lately, so this will be perfect. Cannot wait for him to try it out.

Face Skin Care Ultimate Comfort Shave Gel -$2

This will be great to keep in a travel bag for when we go somewhere and shaving gel is needed.

Perky Jerky (Beef and Turkey)-$3

This jerky came at just the right time. We were just saying we needed to head to the store to get some more jerky when this box arrived. Bro Box saved the day. Jerky in our household is the number one snack, so we were excited to try this Perky Jerky out.

Chip’ins (Sea Salt and Buffalo Wing)-$2

These are great gluten free popcorn chips. We have been trying to stay away from anything like chips, so popcorn chips is a great alternative. And, they sound great.

Bro Box Wristband- $3

This was perfect, since we have been working out all the time. I had just told A that we needed to get something better for how much he sweats. I swear he puts on 10 layers before he works out. This Wristband will be good to get the sweat out of the eyes.  This was A’s favorite item in the box, it went directly into the garage where we workout.

TICKLED PINK OPINION:  I really think that Bro Box just keeps getting better and better. There really are not that many boxes like this out there for men, and I really like that Bro Box has curated a box with a wide array of products, ranging from skincare products to workout accessories, specifically for men. I look forward to seeing more from Bro Box, and so does A.

What did you think of the BroBox? You going to sign a special “Bro” in your life up for a month of goodies? If you want to see past boxes you can HERE OR  If you want to learn more or sign up, you can HERE.

Until next time

Hamptons Lane- For Coffee Lovers

As a local living around the area surrounding Seattle, it is no wonder that I really enjoy a nice cup of coffee. However, I also like to have a nice cup of home brewed coffee just as much. Those many trips to the coffee shop can really hurt the pocketbook at times.Especially when they are on every corner. What better than a coffee company online that creates the perfect blend for you, or just makes it easier to get the coffee you really like delivered straight to your door. Well, ladies and gentleman here is Hamptons Lane.

What is Hamptons Lane?

Hamptons Lane is not only a monthly subscription that provides some great coffee, but also allows you to buy coffee that is specifically picked out to fit your taste buds. The goal Hamptons Lane has embarked on is they they want their customers “to have a unique experience, tailored to your unique taste. You can get the ultimate in coffee personalization by creating your very own blend. Select from an assortment of our fine beans and combine them to create your personal blend – made, named, and enjoyed by you and your friends.

One of the very great tools Hamptons Lane provides is a Taste Profile quiz that after taking prepares customized recommendations based on your preferences in flavors

After taking the Taste Profile Quiz I was designated as…

THE CHOCOLATIER

Your addiction to cocoa is nearly as strong as your addiction to the coffee bean. Both have proven to be much healthier than we once thought, and always tasty. You can pair your cup of joe imbued with notes of hazelnut chocolate with a chunk of cinnamon dusted chocolate on the side.

Regatta Java

I got the opportunity to try this great Medium Roast Blend of Coffee from the Hamptons Lane signature line of coffee. Very Smooth, yet a hint of spiciness. I really do like Medium Roast coffees, so this was a perfect pick for me, and very good. A little more about Regatta Java blend:

Regatta Java -$15 for a 12 oz. bag

HL COFFEE - MEDIUM ROAST

A day at the races wouldn’t be complete without cup of coffee to match the mood. Regatta Java Indonesian and South American beans will excite you with a sweet snap at the first sip, followed by a nice smooth, yet spicy finish.

Hamptons Lane Boxes

Hamptons Lane provides some great boxes that fit many different taste, likes, and preferences of coffee. They provide you the option to buy some of their curated boxes, like my particular pick, Breakfast Blend Tasting box, which contains four 6oz. bags of their favorite coffees to start the day. Cost- $29

They also have the option to build your own box. You can hand pick any four 6oz. bags of your own coffees that you like. Cost- $26

 Create your Own

Another amazing feature at Hamptons Lane is that you can create your own blend of coffee. I went through the online custom blend selection and made a great little blend of coffee I call Tickled Pink Roast. What a great idea for holidays or company presents for all. Cost $14 for a 12 oz bag.

YOUR BLEND’S DESCRIPTION:

This full, sweet cup has delicious notes of cinnamon throughout.

TICKLED PINK OPINION: I really think Hamptons Lane has it all. You not only can purchase curated boxes that fit your coffee style, but you also can custom blend and custom desimake your own coffee. I do not think I have seen anything out there like this yet. I cannot wait to see more from Hamptons Lane.

What did you think of your Hamptons Lane? If you are interested in learning more about Hamptons Lane, make your own custom blend of coffee, or finding out what your tasting style is, you can HERE.

Until next time…
