Julep January Boudoir Collection- Modern Beauty Box Review

I really have not been posting my Julep boxes lately, but I am still getting them , and I still really enjoy my Julep boxes each month. This month I decided I was going to just keep my Julep addiction limited. I actually got this box with just my Julep Jules, which is great!

January
The Boudoir Collection
I really loved this collection for January, not only was there some spectacular colors, but it also came with my favorite, the quick dry drops, which I have been wanting to get in my hands for SOOOO LONG! They are the best! They have a new name now, Ta Da! Quick Dry Drops, but they are a lifesaver.

January Modern Beauty Box
I usually upgrade my box to the whole collection, but this month I decided I did not need to add more polish to my collection. I really am getting a huge polish collection.  I  need to figure out a good way to organize it all very soon. I opted for the Modern Beauty and one add-on since I really wanted the quick dry drops.

Ta Da! Quick Dry Drops
These are the best things since sliced bread. I have been waiting so long for the quick dry drips to come back, and when I saw they were a part of the January box I was super pumped. These Quick dry drops truly work. I am the worst at not being patient when it comes to drying my nails, so anything that helps dry my nails fast is great!

Vanish Cuticle Softener and Remover
I have to say I was a little skeptical of this, but that was before I used it. The lanolin-enriched formula really helps remove cuticles and help scrape away that cuticle from the nails that just needs to go away. I will not go without this now. Makes my manis look so much better.

Essential Cuticle Oil

I always use oil after taking off polish and then filing. This Essential Oil really works, and makes moisturize and protects the cuticles and the nails really well.

Add- On Polish
Noelle
This was a very pretty Sandy Beach color, that had the look of silk. The Noelle color was a part of the Boho Glam Box, and was a very pretty neutral color.

TICKLED PINK OPINION
I always love my Julep Maven boxes, and for the first box/collection of 2014, Julep did a fantastic job.  I think out of all the boxes I have ever gotten from Julep this was one of my top picks! I really thought all the polish colors were great, but even more I just loved the little extra skin care/nail care products that came in the Boudoir Collection. If this is a prediction of the Julep collections to come this year, than I am super stoked and excited to see what is in store.

Julep Maven November Right at Home Collection Review

I still have some October boxes to review on here, but I just could not wait to share the November Julep Collection.

What is Julep?

If you have never heard of Julep, well it just one of the subscriptions you have to know about. Each month Julep reveals a new nail polish collection, with beauty/skin or hair items that are revealed as well. After taking a Style Profile quiz recommendations are made on what colors would best fit you. You can opt to buy the collection that fits your style, opt to pick a different style or buy the whole collection.  The monthly cost is $19.99 per month.

Promo: Get your first Box with promo code FREEBOX at checkout. You can sign up HERE.

November Julep Right at Home Collection
This month Julep featured everything lips. Well, not to include the polishes, which were beautiful as always. The polish colors were perfect for fall. Additionally, Julep not only let you pick out the full collection of all the lip glosses, The Ultimate, but you also could also pick to just get all the polishes and one of the lip glosses you liked best. I decided that I would get the Right at Home full collection with Posh. The total cost was about $60 (I got my add on for 750 Jules, $4.99).

The Right at Home Collection Polishes

Aisha – Boho Glam: Wildberry purple crème
Brielle – Bombshell: Deep autumn orange crème Alexandra – Boho Glam: Blonde crème

Nic – Bombshell: Black crimson crème
Sheila – Classic with a Twist: Cherry pie red crème
Cynthia – Classic with a Twist: Desert sand Microglitter

Chloe – It Girl: Warm cocoa frost
Lola – It Girl: Moonlit night blue satin
Winter – It Girl: Lighty grey cloud crème

Julep Lip Gloss in  Posh
Sheer black honey gloss. I love lip gloss, and really wish I would have gone for the full collection of glosses now. This goes on great, and looks fantastic on top of many of my lipsticks for fall.

Blank Canvas Plumping Lip Primer
A multi-tasking marvel that plumps, moisturizes, and preps lips for flawless color application. The tingle tells you it’s working. The ongoing hydration and smoothing tell you it’s still working. Who does not lip plump lips. I have used lip primer before, and am excited to give Julep brand a spin.

Add-On Polish- Autumn
Burnt red-orange multidimensional glitter top coat. This was my favorite out of all the colors, even the regular Right at Home Collection. Such a great top coat for Thanksgiving and Christmas time.

Luxe Repair Skin Serum Sample
This is a sample of the new serum that has age defying, antioxidant-rich blends, that hydrates and moisturizes. Since Julep also gave a 30% discount, I may have to pick some up.

TICKLED PINK OPINION
I always love Julep, and cannot rave enough about each and every one of their collections. The bad part is that I love all their polishes, and really have loved all their new products, so I am always going for the full collection. I am glad they only come out once a month, haha. I already am anticipating another great collection in December. I mean look at some of the great holiday collections that were featured in the pamphlet they sent out with their November Julep Maven box. I want it all.

Sail into Summer- June Julep Maven Box is Here and Mystery Box Update

I have been missing lately, sorry about that short vacation. But I am back with some Julep Fun. After a lot of searching on the web, reading reviews, and the delay of my box, I was a little worried about this month’s box. However, I need not worry, my box was fantastic.

For June, Julep’s theme was Sail into Summer. I was so excited about the DD Crème and Concealer revealed, and all the great nail colors. What is a girls to do? I had to go for the whole collection Yes, again. Yikes, I might have a Julep addiction.

 Sail into Summer Collection

Julep Nantucket Nostalgia Collection
Nail Lacquer Colors

Kennedy- (Classic with a Twist color)  Khaki crème
Bess-(It Girl color) Baby blue crème; and
Dianna-(Boho Glam color)Mint Green crème

Payton- (Bombshell color) Kelly green crème
Lexie- (Boho Glam color) Dandelion yellow crème; and
Char- (It Girl color)Nautical Navy Blue

Nan-(It Girl color) Nantucket red crème
Raegan- (Bombshell color) Electric dark pink crème; and
Martha- (Classic with a Twist color) Polo pink crème

All the colors this month were great. I am leaning towards Char and Payton. I love the Nautical Blue for the season, but at heart my favorite color is green.

New Additions to Julep Collection

Julep DD Crème in Medium

I am very impressed by this crème so far. I only tested it on my hand, but I liked the feel. And, regardless of some reviews I have seen, my bottle was full.

Julep DD Concealer in Medium

I really like this concealer as well. However, I tend to like really, really, really good coverage for my concealer, and it just was not as potent as I usually like my concealer to be. I still will get my use out of this DD Concealer though. And, again, my bottle was full.

TREATS. Julep also added in some Salt Water Taffy, which definitely reminds me of the beach. While I am not the biggest fan, I am sure we have a little one in the house that will love the taffy..

Overall,  and as usual, I loved Sail into Summer collection, and am very happy and impressed with Julep. What is great is their transition into makeup. I look forward to seeing more from Julep in the future.

How did you like your Julep Maven set this month? Or if you are not yet a Maven you can find out more information and/or get your first Julep Maven box for free by using Promo Code FREEBOX at checkout. Go to the Julep site HERE

Also, do not forget Julep has a Destination Mystery Box going on right now. And you can pick from Three different boxes Miami, Laguna Beach and The Hamptons .

Also, Julep has a great special treat included in three lucky boxes!

Which one would you pick? Will you be getting a Desination Mystery Box? I might have to skip this mystery box time, but I cannot wait to see what everyone gets. I am sure I will be kicking myself in the butt when I start to see the boxes coming in.

Until next time.

Julep Spring Mystery Box Unboxing

It has been hard to sit inside at the computer this week, as it is absolutely beautiful in the Seattle area right now. And although Seattle is known for its rainy weather, many people do not get to experience how beautiful it is here when the sun is shining. So when it is nice out here in the Pacific Northwest, all you want to do is take advantage of it. Along with the surprise of the nice weather, I got a surprise in the mail My Julep Spring Mystery Box.

JULEP SPRING MYSTERY BOX (box 2)
(Unfortunately, no, I did not win the I-Pad Mini)

4 polishes, all of which I do not have yet:

Niecy- A nice bold hot pinkcolor (Bombshell) Very good color for the summer;

Mindy- A very light pink /sheer color, almost looks like Jennifer to me.  (American Beauty)

Sienna- A metallic goldish/light bronze color. Very natural, put still pops.

Cindy- A beautiful bright green with some great shimmer. I have been waiting to get a beautiful green color, and this was perfect. (Bombshell)

Other items:

Pomegranate Body Crème- Will go perect with the Pomegranate BodyScrub I got in the last Mysery Box.

Rock Star Hand Crème- sample size.

Overall I am impressed that I have no received on duplicate item, and I have gotten all mystery boxes since Valentine’s Day.  I also enjoy any Julep products that come my way. The only con that I can point out, is that I do feel Julep is starting to hold back on what they include in their Mystery Boxes, and have increased the price from $19.99 back in February to the current mystery box price of $24.99.  I do not like to complain, but I am just pointing out what I have noticed.

Did you get Julep Spring Mystery Box this time? What neat treats and colors did you get.

Until next time

Unboxing Julep Maven Sea Salt Mystery Box

This is such a busy time of the month but I wanted to share with everyone the Julep Sea Salt Mystery Box that I received today. Each box was said to contain about  $70 to $200 worth of product.  One mystery box even contained a $1000 Visa card! I got box number 1, this is what I got:

Julep Sea Salt Mystery Box

In this box I got the following polishes:

Barbara

Otte

Joy (my only duplicate); and

Sea Salt Finish Madeline

I also received in my box Foot Separators ,Nail file; and Julep Glow On Age Defying Hand Brightener.

This was Mystery Box 1, and while I saw some other boxes containing many other items than my box had in it, I still am always happy with the items I receive from Julep.  I have never once been disappointed. Great job Julep.  Now I cannot wait to use that Sea Salt Madeline polish.

How did you like this month’s Sea Salt Mystery Box?

Until next time
