Asian Goodness in a Box

I would like to introduce dumplingbox. I just found this subscription box service at the end of last week, I signed up right away, and a week later I have my first box. Talk about service! Dumplingbox is $10 per month, and I am very pleasantly impressed with my first box.

What is dumplingbox you ask?

Dumplingbox ( and what a cute name) is dedicated to spreading the deliciousness of Asian snacks.

Here is my first box full of Asian treats, and a personalized greeting postcard (impressive) . Dumplingbox also comes with a very helpful list of all the treats, and the ingredients, which is handy.

I look forward to seeing more boxes to come.

Check out dumplingbox HERE! Let me know what you think

My favorite... IPSY Glam Bag!

Have I told you yet that I love monthly subscription boxes OR bags? Well, this is my favorite by far. IPSY  monthly Glam bag is just blow me away excellent. Such a great assortment of beauty items to try, and on top of that some item are even full size.  For January, the focus of the IPSY Glam Bag was Super Star. And IPSY  out did themselves this month!

I love getting this pink package in the mail.

And inside the January IPSY Bag

My favorite item this month (it was hard to pick one, since it all was great) was

the London Soho Crease Brush.
I opened it up immediately, and it was perfect. I would like to try more London Soho brushes, as I was so impressed with the quality of this brush! London Soho brushes run from $19.99 to 7.99.

The other items in the January IPSY bag were:

Pacifica Body Butter- Tuscan Blood Orange.
I have used other products by Pacifica before, and I love their Body Butter. This was a 2.5 oz sample, which was awesome. At Sephora a Pacific 2.5 oz Body Butter would cost around $7.00. Wow just the Pacifica Body Butter and the London Soho brush are worth the $10.00 you spend on the whole IPSY Glam Bag in itself. I am very impressed with this Pacifica product. It smells great, and leaves my skin feeling very moisturized, leaving no oily residue like some body butters..

Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil
Argan Oil can be used for many areas including hydrating and nourishing skin, as a daily moisturizer, skin treatment, treating spilt ends, and softening cuticles. It's gentle enough to use on all skin types and is believed to help with skin conditions including acne. I have used other Argan Oils, and I really love using it on my hair. So far I am loving this product. Additionally, the Jose Maran Argon oil 17 fl. Oz. sample runs about $17.

Nailtini Nail Lacquer (Bloody Mary)
I have received the Nailtini nail polish in previous IPSY Glam Bags, and I loved it. I was so happy to receive this FULL SIZE nail polish, and am excited to give the Bloody Mary color a try. Nailtini is a great product, and I would love to try out many more of their  products as well (Liptini and Eyetini).  The Nailtini would regularly cost about $13, if bought alone. Again WOW!

Big Sexy Hair Spray and Play
I am always in need of a travel size hair spray. I have never used the Big Sexy Hair products before, but am excited to give this hairspray a try. Who doesn’t want a hair spray that volumizes as well.  Retail value on the Big Sexy Hair travel sized Spray and Play is $6.

And it all comes each month a wonderful Glam bag.

January’s bag was awesome, navy blue outside with stars on the inside.

IPSY Glam Bag never lets me down, and it is the best subscription bag I have yet to see out there. With the price of $10 per month, IPSY Glam Bag is my top pick for products and price!!! I cannot wait for February’s Glam Bag.

Give it a try HERE, you cannot go wrong! And make sure to let me know what you think as well!!

Work+Hungry= Emergency PECKISH to the Rescue

I was sitting at my desk trying to get my work done for the day, and I was thinking to myself how Starbucks or the little mini mart down stairs would have to suffice to fill my tummy until I got home, BUT THEN work got to hectic and busy. With no time to get a good snack, thank goodness the mail came, and in the mail my PECKISH box. The Peckish box was my life saver today (not literally, I am sure I would not starve if I did not eat, but I would work a little better with something in my tummy J). I was so excited to receive the box, and right in the nick of time.

This is my first box from Peckish . Nosh, Nibble, Nourish. I am super excited to share this delightful little box with you, and tell you a little about this awesome subscription box company.

Peckish sends the boxes directly to your office or home with 3 full sized healthy snacks every week, bi-weekly, or monthly. The cost is $14.99 for each box. You also have options on what type of box you would like:

  • ·         The Nutrition Box;
  • ·         The Energy Booster Box;
  • ·         The Protein Box;
  • ·         The Sweet Tooth Box;
  • ·         The Light Box; or
  • ·         The Surprize Me! Box

I decided to go for The Light Box, as I would like to stick to my New Year’s Resolution!!

The Light Box this week came with the following:

The Green Machine

Dried Soy beans, Pistachios, and broccoli. Yes, broccoli. Before anyone says “Eww, yuck.” It is was so good. The mix is dried so all the ingredients are light, fresh, delightfully crispy, and yummy!

The calories are 95 per serving and there are 5 servings

 I give it 4 stars!!

Strawberry Banana Sundae

Yummy Dried Strawberries, Bananas, organic sugar, and organic chocolate liqueur (yummy!!) make this a fantastic sweet tooth quencher. I could have ate all of this in one sitting. However, I decided to save some for my steel oats oatmeal and it did not let me down. So good!

The calories are 61 per serving and there are 6 servings per bag.

   I give it 5 stars!

And last,

Sweet Americana

How could one not like this tasty little treat with a name like that? J Dried blueberries, raspberries and bananas, OH MY! This was my favorite our of the three, because I love blueberries. Sweet Americana is, just like the name, wonderfully sweet, fresh, and so delicious. A must try in my eyes.

And. Tadaa, only 17 calories and no fat in a serving. 5 servings per bag.

I give this treat 5 plus stars!

All of the Peckish treats stick to the following guidelines:

·         No Trans Fats
·        No Partially Hydrogenated Oils
·        No High Fructose Corn Syrup
·       No Artificial Sweeteners, Flavors, or Colors

Give it a try, AND. You can get 50% off your first box if you use the code friend12 at checkout!

I cannot wait for more boxes to come.

Subscription Box Love… Birchbox January 2013

I love monthly subscription boxes.

I have found that subscription boxes are a great way to try new products, and not spend the money on a full price item. Why spend the money on a full price item, and then later find out that you just do not like it that much?  I have been very pleasantly surprised in the last few plus months with the Birchbox subscription box. January will be my 6 month with Birchbox, and they even sent me a 20% off coupon for my 6 month birthday. Birchbox also provides great tips and tutorials for makeup, men’s products, and they also have accessories/decorations etc. for the home. Birchbox is a little piece of goodness, that  tickles me pink every time I go to the website.

Each Birchbox is $10. And you get in each box about 5-6 items, ranging from makeup, hair products, and face cleansers to fortune cookies. Unlike some subscriptions boxes that give their members the same items, Birchbox sends many different boxes to their members. It is always exciting to see what box I will get each month.

Here is my January 2013 box, which was fantastic

 Items in the box included....

theBalm® cosmetics Hot Mama Shadow & Blush All-in-One
·         Illuminating powder blush, highlighter, and shadow combo. Wear it on your cheeks, your lids, and wherever you want to add a dose of shimmery warmth.
·         I have tried it has a blush and on my eye lids and it is very nice and subtle. I have a medium complexion and probably is a little more subtle than on lighter skin tone. All in All I say it a great product.
·         Full Size version is $20.00

Number 4 Clarifying Shampoo

·         Black currant and soy restore vibrancy; acai berry and vitamin C deliver youth-boosting antioxidants; Oolong tea and Irish moss defend against environmental damage; and lemongrass and oatmeal gently cleanse and purify. This shampoo is also vegan friendly and free from sulfate/sodium chloride and parabens.
·         I tried this the other day and it is nice. The smell is a little different than what my normal hair shampoos smell like, but the after effects left a great clean and fresh smell to my hair.
·         Full size version is $32.00

Lashem Meaurable Difference Lash Gel Serum

·         The double-patented formula features a roster of high-tech ingredients to give you longer, lusher, and more enticing lashes.
·         I am excited to try this, who dosent want longer and lusher lashes. I will follow up after I have tried.
·         Full size version is $69.99 (WOW I am glad I get to sample this first. Great item in January Birchbox!)

Harvey Prince Skinny Chic Perfume

·         The dominant note of crisp green apple is tempered by marine mint and lovely lotus blossom. In the background, notes of grapefruit, bergamot, fennel, white cedarwood, amber, and iris mix and mingle.
·         Have not tried yet, but it has a great smell.
·         Full size version $55.00

Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Face Cream

·         This rich cream is designed to beat dryness for 24 hours, thanks to a unique Super 7 Complex of plant extracts. Lotus flower extracts and blue-green algae firm skin and prevent wrinkles, while hibiscus fruit extract hydrates skin from the inside out. Fig fruit extract helps skin retain moisture, and vitamins C and E are powerful antioxidants. Finally, vegetable glycerol creates a natural moisture barrier on skin.
·         I tried it last night, and it goes on very smooth and clean feeling. I do not like a face cream to leave me feeling like there is a lot of residue or oil afterward, and this did not. I will have to keep using it and see the effects.
·         Full size version $42.00

Overall the January Birchbox was outstanding. I love that there is a range of products I can try, from perfume and makeup to shampoo. I look forward to more Birchboxes! You too will be TICKLED PINK with the Birchbox, give It a try, you can sign up HERE!
