November Ipsy Glam Bag- Glam It Up Review

I have to say it has been an awesome month for my subscriptions. This month I have been super impressed with every single one of them, especially my makeup and beauty boxes. Ipsy Glam Bag, is always up there on my hit list, and for November, they have scored again.

What is Ipsy Glam Bag?

Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription that sends out the latest and greatest beauty items to your door every month. And not only do you get to try some great beauty products, but it all comes in a handy makeup bag each month.

Cost: $10 per month

For November, Ipsy Glam Bag curated a Glam Bag that was perfect for the holiday season coming up. The theme was "Glam It Up". How fitting given the name of Ipsy’s subscription is Glam Bag. I think this has to be one of the best Glam Bags that Ipsy has put together thus far, and I am super impressed.

November Ipsy Glam Bag
Glam it Up

Be a bombshell  Lip Crayon  in Hot Damn- $14
Be a bombshell has quickly become one of my favorite cosmetics brands. I am currently using their blush, lipstick, and their lipgloss. I  was super excited to see this Lip Crayon, full size, in  this month’s Glam Bag. I am a big fan of lip crayons, and I think they are the best. This Hot Damn, bright red color, will be perfect for the holiday parties and celebrations coming up.

BH Cosmetics- Galaxy Chic in Eclipse- $3
While this color mixed very well with the Starlook Eye Pencil that I received,  I only wish that it was a color that I would use more often. That being said thought, I think that this is a very pretty color. It is a mix of purple ,which will match well with the amethyst eye pencil. I will be able to make this work with some of my other eye shadows, so not a total bust.

Starlooks Eye Pencil in Amethyst- $12
I have used a couple of the Starlooks products before, and I have been happy with them. I will be able to pair this eye pencil up the with eye shadow that  I received in this month’s Glam Bag, so that is an added plus.

Nailtini Nail Laquer in Cavier Cocktail- $13
I really like the Nailtini brand, and I have received it in other Glam Bags, and was excited to see this in this month’s Glam Bag. This is a great gunmetal metallic grey color, and, again, this will be great for the holidays.

Em Michele Phan Lip Gallery Creamy Color Sheer in Cabana Beige- $16.50
This is such a pretty color, very natural and sheer. This is great to add as a base for any great bold lip. I have never used brand before, but am always up for a new lip stick.

Pixi  Bronzer-$8
Bronzer is the perfect to add the finishing touch to any great Glam look. I usually use Bronzer everyday, and this was a great addition to this Glam Bag.

Glam Bag
This was by far one of my favorite makeup bags, and perfect for this month's theme!

TICKLED PINK OPINION

I cannot believe how many full size products were included in this November Ipsy Glam Bag. This Glam Bag included everything you needed to glam up any every day look and perfect for holiday parties. The total value of November’s Glam it Up Ipsy Glam Bag was approximately $66.50, and for $10 a month. WOW . I will always be the biggest fan of the Ipsy Glam Bag, and I cannot wait for next month.

Best of April- Ipsy AND Birchbox

I try and usually post the boxes or bags that I get soon after I receive them, or as soon as I can. However, for April's Ipsy Glam Bag and Birchbox, I have decided to do a best of April picks.  Change things around a little bit.

Without further ado here are the boxes and bags.

April’s PRETTY IN PINK IPSY GLAM BAG-

What was included:
  • Beabombshell  Blush in Beach Please

  • Two Cosmetic Heartache Duo Eye Shadows

  • Sexy Hair Soy Renewal Argan Oil

  • Sation Nail Lacquer for Ipsy in Love at First Bite; and

  • Pretty in Pink Glam Bag

MY TWO PICKS FOR THE
"THE BEST OF"
FOR IPSY PRETTY IN PINK GLAM BAG

Beabombsehll Blush in Beach Please

This was a full size blush, and let me tell you it is awesome. My first reaction when I opened it, was that it was not my color. It looks hot, hot pink. However, I wanted to give it a try. After using it, a little goes a long way with this one, I thought it was just perfect. I does give you that just pinched my cheeks, pink, looks, which I love.  What really impressed me about this blush, is that it did not fade throughout the day. Many of the times I will put blush on in the morning, and then mid through the day, I wonder if I had even put any one. This Beabombshell blush really impressed me.  And this retails for $16 in the stores, so I already paid for my Ipsy bag.  Wonderful!

Two Cosmetic Heartache Duo Eye Shadows

I have always leaned more towards neutral browns and earthy colors on my eyes, until recently. A couple eye shadows that I have received lately have been pink tones. I also have read a couple articles on using your blush as an eye shadow. So I thought I would give it a try. I didn’t think I could pull it off. However, the pink tones fit perfectly, and look so natural on the eye lids. You add a little black eyeliner, and it adds that extra POP. I really love changing my style and makeup up here and there, so this was a great eye shadow duo to receive.

And Next...

APRIL’S WOMEN HEALTH MAGAZINE’S

BIRCHBOX

I first have to tell you that I was so excited for this box. I anxiously awaited when they first revealed that they were teaming up with Women's Health. But did not know when they were sending them out.  So I was excited to see it was April’s box. I had actually thought the box would be a limited edition box.  The only thing I was hoping out of this Women’s Health magazine was something geared more towards health. I do not think any of the products really projected healthy physical or mental living, just to take care of the beauty side of an individual. That being said, I still loved, loved my box.

Here is what was included:
  • J.R. Watkins Hand and Cuticle Slave;

  • Kiehl’s Powerful- Strength Line Reducing Concentrate;
  • Mirenesse Glossy Kiss Lipstick;

  • Nexxus Youth Renewal Rejuvenating Elixur; and
  • BONUS:  Simple Revitalizing Eye Roll-On; and

  • 1 year of Women's Health Magazine.

MY TWO PICKS FOR
"THE BEST OF"
BIRCHBOX WOMEN'S HEALTH APRIL BOX ARE:

Simple Revitalizing Eye Roll-On

This is amazing. I had used an eye cream before with a similar tip, but was not a roller-ball. I think this roller-ball is so great for the eyes. It will not put as much pressure as using your fingers, thus lessen the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Also. this stuff really works. I have been using it every night before I go to bed, and I really can see the difference in the morning. I see less dark circles when I wake up, and firmer skin. A winner in my court!

1 year of Women's Health Magazine

I know this is not a product that I can use right now, as I just put my postcard in the mail to start my subscription. However, I love this magazine. I used to have a subscription a couple years back, and for some reason it got cancelled. So I was so excited to see a 1 year free offer from Birchbox. What I think is pretty great of Birchbox and Women's Health Magazine is that they also gave the option to get $10, if you do not want to magazine. $10 Pays for the Birchbox. I am very impressed!

Overall, Yes, it was hard to pick to, but I thought I would do something diffferent. If you are interested in seeing what has been in other Ipsy Glam Bags or Birchboxes, you can go HERE or HERE

What was your top picks this month?

Until next time

Ipsy March Glam Bag

It has taken me awhile to post the Ipsy Glam Bag, but finally here it is. The theme this month was the Great Escape. Ipsy is getting everyone all excited for the Spring to Summer weather. And many people would love to just take a Great Escape to A dream location.  I know I would not mind taking a great escape to Costa Rica or some other hot local.

Okay enough dreaming...

Here is March’s Ipsy Glam Bag

Juicy Beauty Hydrating Mist

I have never used a hydrating mist before, but I assume it would be good if I were in a hot or dry place.  Juicy Beauty hydrating mist smells great, and I have used Juicy Beauty CC Cream, and I really liked it, so I am sure this Hydrating Mist will not be disappointing. I will keep this on hand for my next vacation or if I feel my skin needs a little hydration.

La Fresh Makeup Remover Wipes

I enjoyed getting a little travel pack up makeup removers. This travel-lite pack is perfect to keep in my purse, for those days when I need a touch up at work or great to packaway in the suitcase for a little weekend getaway.  I never buy makeup remover wipes, as I usually use baby oil gel, so I am excited to give these a try.

GLAM RX Make up Compact and Yaby Eye Shadow

This is a cute little compact could probably hold about 10 little magnetic eye shadows. I loved the pink color, the mirror was nice inside, and the magnetization is a great concept, that should catch on. This Glam RX Compact was made just for this Ipsy Glam Bag, and yes Ipsy also included eye shadows this month

The Yaby Eye Shadows that are made to magnetize to the GLAM RX Makeup Compact. This is a brilliant idea, and I wish more makeup companies would actually pickup on this concept. I sometimes like to have the shadow I am wearing with me in my purse, but most times the shadows are in a larger palette. I then have to  pack the palette with me all day long, in case I need to touch up. If I could just grab the shadows I was wearing and put them in a little compact like GLAM RX, that would save so much space.

The shadows included from Yaby were Azalea petal and Seashell. These are great neutral colors, which are great for spring time.

Again Ipsy Glam Bag is one of my favorites, and for $10 each month it is even better. Not only are the  products received each month top notch, but each month subscribers always get a lovely makeup bag. This month’s bag was a white and navy blue nautical bag, very great escapy and cute.

I continue to look forward to IPSY Glam Bag each month. What did you think of Ipsy Glam Bag this month?
