US Weekly February's Edition- What is in Her Birchbox?

And now for another one of my regular beauty subscriptions, that I got in February. BIRCHBOX. Yes, of course, I still get Birchbox. I really like Birchbox because no matter what, my box is always a surprise. Well, unless I peak online, but really it is never a sure thing with what items you are going to get each month, as there are so many variations of the Birchbox. I like this a lot about Birchbox.  Well enough babbling, here is another edition of What is in Her Birchbox?

What is Birchbox?
For all those who do not know what Birchbox is Birchbox sends their monthly beauty boxes out each month. Each box is full of makeup, skincare items, hair products, and more. Birchbox has really opened itself up to being a lifestyle box as well.

COST: $10 per month. (There is also a Birchbox Man box, which cost $20 per month.)

February
US Weekly Special February Birchbox
For February Birchbox teamed up with US Weekly for a special Birchbox!

Beauty Protector Protect & Oil
I love hair oils that are light, and make my hair feel soft and non-frizzy. This Beauty Protector Protect & Oil is perfect to put in my hair right after washing and before drying to protect it nicely.  I have not used this before, but I have used the Beauty Protector brand before so I knew I was going to like this hair oil.

Coola Tinted Matte SPF 30 for Face

As I get older I tend to look for more products with SPF, as I really would like to protect my skin, especially my face. I have used this Coola brand before, so I was excited to see this in my Birchbox this month! And, Coola products are the best!

Smashbox Cosmetics Full Exposure Mascara

Okay so there is nothing better in my makeup bag than a great mascara. Mascara is just that go to makeup that I cannot live without. And, after using this Smashbox Mascara, I think I am hooked.

Ruby Wing Color Changing Nail Polish in Kitten Heels

Again, I never will bet board with more nail polish! And this polish was so fun. And in the sun it changes from a hot fuchsia to a deep magenta. Color Changing nail polish? Sounds good to me!

Smashbox Cosmetic Full Exposure Palette – Beauty Extra

I just love all the colors in this palette, as I love natural color eyeshadows. This eye shadow from smashbox was fantastic! The only thing is, is that the sample in my Birchbox was a little bit of a tease, as there was only a little sample card.

TICKLED PINK OPINION

I definetly am not disappointed in Februay’s Birchbox. However, I was expecting a little more pizzaz from a US Weekly Birchbox collaboration. I definetly have enjoyed past Birchboxes more. That being said though, I think that the box’s contents were well worth the $10 I spent for the subscription. I will continue to be a loyal Birxhbox subscriber, and look forward to each and every Birchbox I get every month!

December Holiday 2013 Edition- What is in her Birchbox?

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! What better way to come back to my lovely blogging than a review of the ever anticipated Birchbox that I receive each and every month!

What is Birchbox?
For all those who do not know what Birchbox is Birchbox sends their monthly beauty boxes out each month. Each box is full of makeup, skincare items, hair products, and more. Birchbox has really opened itself up to being a lifestyle box as well. And each month it costs $10. There is also a Birchbox Man box, which cost $20 per month.

December Holiday
Birchbox

Camille Beckman Glycerine Hand Therapy Midnight Monarch Scent
In the winter months my hands always getting so dry, so that hand therapy was much needed. Not that I do not have others, but this Camille Beckham brand is just great. I love that my hands are not greasy afterward.

Manna Kadar Cosmetics Sheer Glo in Birchbox Love
This is a Birchbox exclusive, and is a pearly lotion the creates a fresh spa glow. I think this lotion is great, but more of a summer item for me. So, it will be going in the save- until-later pile.

Supersmile Ultimate Lip Treatment
This lip treatment is super glossy going on, but really great feeling. It is a perfect little size version for a perfect fit in small compartments of my purse that I have no idea what to use for.

Toni & Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray
I really like the way that Sea Salt Sprays work in my hair. It brings that perfect amount of texture I need to actually style my hair. I love it!  I have a couple that I am in the middle of using right now, but as soon as they are gone, this Toni & Guy one is on top of my list.

Ahmad Tea London
This was my Birchbox Lifestyle extra this month, and I think it was a great little extra something special for these cold months.

TICKLED PINK OPINION

I always really enjoy my Birchbox each month, and like always, I was not disappointed with my December box either. For a total of $10 per month, each monthly box is worth every penny. Not to mention, that for every product received you can go on the Birchbox website and review the product to receive 1 point, which equals a dollar to spend at the Birchbox store, which carries a plethora of goodies!

If you would like to check out past month’s Birchboxes you can see them HERE or HERE. And, if you would like to sign up for Birchbox, you can HERE.

October's Edition- What is in her Birchbox?

It is Birchbox time again, whoo hoo. I always love seeing that pretty little pink box in the mailbox. Yesterday was such a crazy mail day. I am sure my mailman will be happy to see that I have moved, and taken all my boxes with me. And continuing my “What is in her Birchbox?” theme, here we go

What is Birchbox ?
For all those who do not know what Birchbox is Birchbox sends their monthly beauty boxes out each month. Each box is full of makeup, skincare items, hair products, and more. Birchbox has really opened itself up to being a lifestyle box as well. And each month it costs $10. There is also a Birchbox Man box, which cost $20 per month.

October Beauty Buzz Birchbox

This month’s Birchbox included products that are all the buzz and a roundup of 2013’s top products.

Folle de Joie Perfume
This was a reasonable size perfume sample. I am not very keen on getting perfume samples in boxes very much, since I am very picky on my perfumes. However, this was a very light smelling scent, so I am sure I will get use out of this sample.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish and Pure Muslin Cloth
This was packaged so cute. Loved that it came in a little box, and was presented so well for a sample version. I tried this cleanser right away, and it works amazingly, and left my skin feeling great. I have used Muslin clothes before, and they work very well to help get the skin nice and clean.

Miss Jessie Origianl Crème de la Crème Conditioner

Really like the Miss Jessie brand, and cannot complain about a nice size sample of conditioner. I am sure I will put this in my sample box to save for later, when I need it to pack away for a trip. The only thing that was missing was a shampoo to go with it.

POP Beauty Aqua Lacquer

Very pretty color, and really nice that it plumps the lips as well. I really like the POP brand, so I am sure this lip gloss will be great.

Birchbox Find- Chapstick- Dydration Lock
With cold weather coming around I think many boxes know chapstick or lip balm is a must have. Not only is this a full size chapstick, but there is also a $1 off coupon included in this month's box with the Chapstick! Score!

TICKLED PINK OPINION
This month’s box was great. Sometimes Birchbox’s are a hit or miss for me, but lately they have been sending some great boxes. Not only was this box way worth the monthly cost of $10, but I can also log on a review each product and get some Birchbox points!  (Each point is $1). I think that after looking at other reviews of different Birchbox versions this month, October’s Beauty Buzz was one of my favorite months all around. Great picks Birchbox.

Stitch Fix- Fix #6 Reviewed and Stitch Fix/Birchbox Promo

Stitch Fix is addicting for me.  I try to only stick to 1 box per month, and have been really good. There are times with A wonders why I torture myself with the Stitch Fix boxes, because I never can decide what I am going to keep from the box. Yes, I try to limit myself on what I keep as well. If you have never heard of Stitch Fix here is my latest Fix. And Stay Tuned for a Birchbox/Stitch Fix special promo at end.

What is Stitch Fix?
For those who do not know what Stitch Fix is yet, Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. Stitch Fix gets your style and size preferences, then send you a package of stylish goodies to try on at home. And No two Fix shipments are alike. Each one is hand–picked just for you. It costs $20 per month, and this $20 can be used towards the purchase of any of the items Stitch Fix adds to your box.

Stitch Fix Box #6

For this Fix I was assigned a different stylist, Claire. She did a good job, and I was happy with her selections.  I wonder if there will be differently stylists each time now, or if I will keep the same one for a couple fixes.  I will have e-mail Stitch Fix and ask. One thing that I noticed in this box, and it is just because I am a fan of great presentation, but usually the clothing when I open the box is nicely folded and wrapped in the tissue, but this time around the clothing came looking a little astray.  Oh well.

Bay to Baubles Nessa Love Birds on a Branch Necklace- $32

This was a cute necklace and I love gold. I also think that this would look cute with almost anything. However, I just do not need a necklace right now.  I think for my next fix I will ask for no jewelry and all clothing.

Daniel Rainn Kieraly Heart Print Short Sleeve Blouse–$68
This was just my style. I love flowy blouses. And if you know me by now, or have read any of my Stitch Fix posts before, you know I love a shirt that works well casually for weekend wear and for work. This Daniel Rainn shirt would is perfect, and it would have been something I picked out on my own if I was shopping. Great pick.

Peppermint Katarina Heart Print Dress   –$48

I do not know what it is, but I really do love heart print on shirts and dresses. I tried on  Peppermint dress in my last fix, and like this one just as much.  Again, my stylist is on a roll, a great dress to wear casually or to dress up. And, what I think was great about this dress is it was very affordable.

Under Skies Milan Lave Print Back Pleat Top–$48

In my stylist’s notes she said this was one of Stitch Fix’s best sellers. This is super cute, and I can see why it is a best seller. The only think that would have 100% sold me on the shirt was if the lace detail was black. I know, it does not make much of a difference. However, I am not much of a navy blue wearer.   It was very appealing though, and I was contemplating still whether to keep it, it did look okay with jeans.

Tulle Pascal Watercolor Rose Print Dress   –$78

I had just seen another blogger get this same dress in their fix. I think that the print was very pretty on this dress, but I just was not sure about the wrap around style of this dress on me. When I put it on I just was not comfortable with how it looked. Still a very pretty dress, just not on me.

TICKLED PINK OPINION
Again a great fix from Stitch Fix. I only kept one piece this time around, the Peppermint Katarina Heart Print Dress.  I would have kept more, but I really have been good about trying to limit myself. For my next time around I did fill out my review and notes for my next box a little more thoroughly. By no means was I unhappy with this box, but I would like more fall clothes my next time around.  I really think Stitch Fix is a good subscription if you are looking to add some new pieces to your wardrobe, that fit your style, and just do not have the time. Stitch Fix really does to a great job picking out the right pieces.  I cannot wait to see my next Stitch Fix!

STITCH FIX AND BIRCHBOX PROMO

September Edition-"What is in her Birchbox?"

Another segment of “What is in her Birchbox this month?” I know I really have never featured any other segments of "What is in her Birchbox this month?", but I think I will start this month. What do you think? There are so many different box styles, you never know what you are going to get until it arrives. It is kinda exciting!

What is Birchbox?

If you have never heard of Birchbox, well you should definitely get in the loop. Birchbox sends their monthly beauty boxes out each month. Each box is full of makeup, skincare items, hair products, and more. Birchbox has really opened itself up to being a lifestyle box as well. And each month it costs $10. There is also a Birchbox Man box, which cost $20 per month.

September Heritage Birchbox

This month’s box was Birchbox’s 3rd year anniversary. Birchbox celebrated by giving customer's 30% off anything from the Customer Favorites Shop. Hmmm, what do I need?

Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Rivera

I really love Jouer products. And I just love their lip gloss. I really like the Rivera color that I got in this month’s Birchbox. It looks like a bold red color, but it is really sheer and just gives the lips a great natural pop.

Borracha Wine Wipes

Birchbox must know that I really love my wine. If you ever drink a good bold red wine, the wine actually can really turn your teeth and your lips a red/purplish color. These will come in handy.

Ruffian Nail Laquer in Fox Hunt

This is a vibrant orange Ruffian nail polish that was made exclusively for Birchbox. I usually am not much of a orange nail polish wearer, but this is a very pretty metallic/ orange coral color. So, I think I will give it a try.

Serge Normant Meta Luxe Hair Spray

This went right into my makeup/hair bag for when I am working promotional events. I used it before working the Seahawks game the other day (Go Seahawks!), and it worked really well to hold my curls.

Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel Sensitive

I was excited to get this in my Birchbox this month, because I really like Juice Beauty products.  This is perfect to get rid of dead skin. I am excited to try it out.

Tickled Pink Opinion: I was very happy with my Birchbox picks this month, they really did a great job picking out great products this month. I always love getting face washes and nail polishes! This month’s Heritage- September Birchbox gets an A+!

If you would like to check out past month’s Birchboxes you can see them HERE or HERE. And, if you would like to sign up for Birchbox, you can HERE

August Birchbox- Finishing School Review

Well today is the day of reviewing firsts. Ipsy, which I just reviewed, and Birchbox were my very first subscription boxes. And, oh boy, look what that started. Haha.

Birchbox is one of those boxes that I have a love/hate relationship with. There are months that I really love, and other months that I really hate. However, Birchbox always makes it up to by offering to give me a $1 in birchbox points if I review the samples I get So I never can be too upset with my monthly Birchbox.

August Finishing School
Birchbox

This month’s Birchbox focused on products that zoned in on the details.  Birchbox also collaborated with Ann Taylor to bring fall’s best accessory trends, and an exclusive offer for Birchbox members.

Dr. Jart’s Premium BB Cream

I am not the biggest fan of BB Cream, and have found with the many samples that I get in boxes I really have not taken to any of them. I have not tried this one however, so I will give this a try.

Whish Exfoliating Body Wash

This is a coconut scrub that smells great. I received the shave cream in a Birchbox a couple months ago, and really liked that, so I am excited to give Whish another try.

MIYU Beauty de-stress me beauty essence and tea

This is a facial mist that is used to help keep you calm, mixed with the tea it is a perfect de-stressor. I can always use a little help de-stressing at the end of a day.

Whish Inhibiting Deodorant Swipe

This was my beauty extra item. This deodorant swipe is said to not only tack odor, but also help slow hair growth. Sounds great, but I have never used a deodorant swipe before. Always have to try something once.

OCB Professional Mattifying Gel

I really do like products that say they are going to make my skin look less shiny. I gave this a try the other day since it was pretty hot out, was not sure if it really did take away the shine. I am going to give it another try.

TICKLED PINK OPINION:  I am not disappointed with this month’s Birchbox, however, I am also not overly excited about this month’s box.  I really was excited to see that this month’s box had some great body wash, and I the de-stressor and tea will come in handy. I never really like to get foil packets as samples, which I got two of this month, but I will most definitely get use out of them. I already cannot wait to see what is in September’s box.

If you would like to see past month’s Birchboxes you can see HERE or HERE.  And if you would like to sign up for Birchbox you can sign up HERE.

What did you think of August’s  Birchbox?  What was included in your box?

Until next time
