Made in Utah- New Subscription Merco Box Review

Today I am bringing you a new box that I have recently come across. This box is another locality box, but different than any other locality boxes I have received. Merco Box, is a brand-new subscription that comes from Utah. This box brings, to  your door, specialty items from around Utah that help support the community, and local mom-and-pop shops. For each Merco Box that you get your dollars go right back to the community of Utah. I have never been to Utah, but from what I see they have some amazing shops and stores that I would love to shop at in person. However, since a trip to Utah is not in my future I am happy for Merco Box.

What is Merco Box?
Merco Box takes Utah's finest local products, from lifestyle, beauty, to food, and packages them in their awesome monthly subscription box and deliver them right to your front door!

Cost: $24.99

March Merco Box

Heavenly Hygienics Cherub Balm Lotion Bar $3.99
It seems that I have an abundance of lotion bars these day. I really think lotion bars are becoming more popular. I really do think lotion bars are great, but for me they are not very practical. I'm usually on the go and do not really have a place to put a lotion bar. However, I think this will be great to leave in the bathroom for our little one.

Razieh’s Wrinkle Free Obsession Cream $4
Well, anything that helps me prevent wrinkles is great in my book. This wrinkle cream will definitely get used. I have never heard of Razieh’s Wrinkle Free Obsession Cream, but I'm very excited to give it a try.

Sea Grape Bath and Body Relaxed Mama Tea $6.50
I usually I am a so-so tea drinker. To be honest I would rather have a big cup of coffee and cream or a latte. And right now I actually I'm not really drinking tea too much as well. However, I know that I eventually get a tea craving, so I'm sure that this will get used in the future. And, anything that gets me relax at the end of the day is fantastic.

Edible Wilds Wildflower Brownie Mix $6.99
This was fantastically delicious. This mix is also gluten-free which is great. No one in my household is gluten-free, but I'm always looking for new gluten-free recipes that I can pass along. I made this the other night, and it was delicious! Some brownies mixes are kind of dry and not so chocolaty, but this mix was not any of those, it was moist and very chocolaty. I think it was a hit at my house.

Figaro Salon Stylist Gift Card and Key Chain from Merco Box $15
After checking out this salon online, it looks like a great salon. If in fact Figaro’s was near me I would probably jump on this offer.

Purse Dreams Gift Card $25

What girl doesn't like a new purse. I looked on the website and they look to have great selections at Purse Dreams. A little pricer than I am used to though. However, I still will be taking advantage of this fantastic gift card that was received and this month’s Merco box. I will have to do another post later to show what I received.

Q Clothing Boutique Scarf $28

This has to be my favorite item in this whole box. I am a big fan of infinity scarves, and especially light scarfs as they fit well for winter as well as moving into spring and even summer. I recently received a peach Aztec scarf that looked just like this so I was excited to see that my box contained a mint teal color infinity Aztecs scarf from Q Clothing Boutique. I definitely will be getting my use out of the scarf and think it was a wonderful addition to the Merco Box.

Extras
Merco Box also included a bunch of great coupons in the box, which valued $50 plus. They are pictured above with the Purse Dreams Gift Card. Some of these coupons I cannot use, but would love to if I was in the Utah area.

TICKLED PINK OPINION
My overall impression was, YES!, this box is awesome. I really just love everything that I received in this March Merco Box! I am a huge fan of boxes that include an array of products from beauty to food, so this was perfect for me. And, to top it off it is a locality box! Double bonus! And you all know I love my locality boxes as well! The total cost of this box would have been $24.99, but Merco Box had a special deal for the March Box, so I only got it for the shipping cost! Excellent, right? And the March Merco Box included approximately $89 plus, not included the Extra gift cards. I probably will not use the $15 gift card to the salon, but my first Merco Box was worth every penny. I look forward to seeing more from Merco Box as the months go by.

February Valentine's Lip Factory box Review

I look forward to the mail day when I get my favorite beauty box. This month it came a little later than I expected, but it was worth the wait. Like always! Lip Factory for February was just as great as I expected it to be.

What is Lip Factory?
Lip Factory is a beauty subscription that curates fantastic beauty boxes, with great beauty/makeup for you to explore and try out. Lip Factory prides itself of sending out new brands and new colors to their subscribers.

Cost: $22.00  per month

February Lip Factory box

February Lip Factory box had a little of everything, and I could not more excited to share this great beauty subscription with my readers.

TEEZ Trendy Cosmetics Eve’s Ready to Wear Lipstick in Never Ending Nude$19
I really have enjoyed the other TEEZ Trendy Cosmetic products that Lip Factory has included in past boxes, so I was excited to finally get to try a lip stick. I am used to getting really bold lipsticks, but this lipstick is very natural, and goes on super smooth. What I really like about TEEZ products is that their packaging is so cool looking, very appealing to the eye.

TEEZ Trendy Cosmetics Desert Metals Mascara in Midnight Sky $21
I love getting mascara, and especially when they are full size. One great part of Lip Factory subscription is that everything that you get is full sized! Another product from TEEZ, and I could not be more happy about the application of this mascara, very nice!

Eyelashi Eyelashes $9
I have never used fake eyelashes on my eyelashes, but I think I may try these ones out. I love the packaging of these. These eyelashes are hand-tied with natural fibers. I cannot wait to see how they work.

LASplash Chubby Twist in Cabernet$10
I am in the biggest fan of Chubby Twist type lipsticks/lip balms. This reminds me of the Revlon one that I use, and exactly the shade I would purchase for myself if I was getting it at a store. I love a nice warm lip for colder months.

Starlooks Loose Pan Eyeshadow in Neutral Perp $10
I really really love the color that came in my Lip Factory box this month, a perfect color for me. I have gotten Starlooks shadow  before, and have been pretty impressed, so I really like getting this natural color for my lids.

TICKLED PINK OPINION

I do not think you could find a bigger fan of Lip Factory subscription box than myself, haha. Yes, this is  by far my favorite beauty subscription. I love that I am always introduced to new products, and even better you get to try full sized products. This months, February Lip Factory box was perfect for the month, and a great box for my birthday month! In all I calculated the Lip Factory box to include approximately $69 worth of beauty products, and the monthly cost is only $22 per month. Can we say “WOW”, that is triple the month cost. Like always, I cannot wait to see what they have in store for March. Lip Factory announced they teamed up with CARGO, and I am super excited!

New Subscription- Celebrate American Made Review

I was recently searching around for new subscription boxes, and I ran across Celebrate American Made. I was immediately curious about this box, and wondered why someone had not curated a box like this a long time ago. There are several boxes out there right now that are specific to one state, but none that celebrates American made! When Celebrate American Made graciously offered to send me their January box, I was super excited to share with my readers. And what a better day to post this box on my blog than today, we are celebrating here in Seattle, so I thought lets keep with the theme of celebrations!

What is Celebrate American Made?
Celebrate American Made is a monthly subscription that focus on one state each month. The curators behind the box search the nation to bring you the best food and handcrafted items from that particular state for that month. You get the best of that state, and get to discover what the locals from that state love. The monthly cost is $39.95 each month.

January
Celebrate American Made
VIRGINIA

I have never been to Virginia, but after reading about it in the Intro card that came with the box, and experiencing the products, I think I would like it.  Virginia is for “autumn lovers”, which I love, and for “ beach lovers”, umm I love even more, and for “ history lovers”. Yes, it may seem weird but I really do love history, and going to places where I can imagine what it was like way back in the days. So much fun.

Brigit True Organics Lip Balm  $5
Like always, I never mind getting a good lip balm, and this was fantastic. It immediately went into my purse!

Integrity Food Group- Savannah Grace Traditional Cheese Straws $5
These cheese straws are so yummy! And are made with aged cheddar cheese. What I really like about this, is that even thought you can sit down and eat these in one go round, that these cheese straws come in a great resealable bag, perfect to keep fresh and convenience.

Montebello Kitchen Peanut Soup $8
I have eaten peanuts and peanut sauce, but never have I had peanut soup. This soup was originated from West Africa, and has been reinvented.   This soup after mixing with some chicken or veggie broth is delish. To make even better I would recommend adding chicken.

Graves Mountain Apple Butter $15
I have never tasted a better Apple Butter, this was super tasty.  This Virginia based company established its cannery back in 1980, and used a family recipe to make this tasty treat.

Route 11 Yukon Gold Potato Chips $2
I definitely have a salty tooth, and rather have a tasty chip over candy any day. These yummy chips make me want to hop on over to Virginia and get some more. What is great is that it is really hard to ship chips without smashing them, however, these were still perfect. They still would be great smashed, but even better not.

The Virginia Chutney Co. Spicy Plum Chutney $3
A great chutney made of great ingredients: plums, sugar, brown sugar and raisins and more. It tastes great!

Natalie Kay Letterpress Artwork
This letterpress print was printed to help support a friend, Laura, who was injured in a car accident. All proceeds of this print will go to her family. “Talitha koun”, which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up.”

TICKLED PINK OPINION

I really think this box is just fantastic, and it supports American Made. The monthly cost of this box is $39.95, and the total value of the box was approximately $38. Like all specialty boxes like Celebrate American Made, it would be impossible to get all these wonderful products for the monthly cost of the box, especially after shipping and handling. Additionally, it is great to help support wonderful companies like these showcased in the Virginia Celebrate American Made box.  Celebrate American Made really makes you really feel like you need to take a trip to these wonderful places, like Virginia. They even include other great little informational packets for subscribers to browse through.

New Subscription Nailed Kit Review

I got the opportunity to try out a new subscription Nailed Kit, and I am so excited to share it with you. I love beauty and makeup kits, but I especially love anything nail related, as well as anything that helps doing my nails easier and quicker.  So you can imagine my excitement when this little box quickly arrived at my doorstep.

What is Nailed Kit?

Nailed Kit is a great new subscription that sends you a Nail Kits that include Nail Polish strips, nail decals, bling and all the tools to have great and fashionable nails. Each get that subscribers receive each month are fresh designs, and arrive at your doorstep each month for only $14 per month.

November
Nailed Kit

The November Kit was perfect for the holiday season. It include all the great tools to have some perfect nails for fall and the Thanksgiving holiday. It all came in such a nicely packaged box, and each step was nicely labelled for easy application.

Step #1- Start It
This is the first step in the Nailed Kit. These Nail Polish Strips were very easy to use. After watching the instruction video online, it was very easy to go through each step. The nail polish strip application took the longest, but was still very easy. The nail strips were very easy to file down for perfect application.

Step #2- Personalize It

These were the November decals, and they were perfect for the season. I found that this part was  the part where your creativity can shine. With a little hot water these decals were very easy to put on the nails. Each kit includes plenty of these decals that can be used for multiple nail looks, even after the nail strips have to come off. You just use your own nail polish add the decals and you have a whole new look.

Step #3- Bling It

I am not a big fan of putting gems/rhinestones on my nails, and blinging them out, but I tried it to see how it looked. I put three on each ring finger, and it really looked great. And, it was really easy to put on. And again, you have enough bling to add more bling to other nail looks after your first look fades away.

Extras

Each Nailed Kit includes a file and a shaping stick. These are necessary, and were used every step of the way. And like most of this kit, can be used again when you have to do your nails again.

Nailed Kit Shop- Wish List
Nailed Kit not only has a monthly club, but you can also buy other kits. Here are some kits I think are super cute. The bachelorette kit can even be specialized to be monogrammed.  Such a clever idea, I love it for when I get married.

TICKLED PINK OPINION

This is a great new subscription, and I really think it is a great way for ladies to have great specialized nails that are cute, stylish, and all for a very reasonable price. Additionally, for those who love to be creative you can design you nails to look any way you would like. And, it all is super easy and with no mess.  I am not 100% how to price this, but I know nail polish strips on there own can range in price, some around $7-9 per nail polish strip pack. Nailed Kit comes with so much more, and shipped right to your door, so $14 per month seems very reasonable. And most the kit can be used for multiple applications.  I cannot wait to see the December's Nailed Kit.

It is all about Lips- Lip Factory November Box Review

If you have read my blog before you know that I love makeup, and one of my favorite subscriptions, yes favorite, is Lip Factory. I have always gotten the most amazing boxes from Lip Factory! For November, I must say they, again, did not disappoint.

What is Lip Factory?
Lip Factory is a beauty subscription that curates fantastic beauty boxes, with great beauty/makeup for you to explore and try out. Lip Factory prides itself of sending out new brands and new colors to their subscribers.

Cost: $22.00  per month

Lip Factory- November Box
It’s all about the Lips
Being that Lip Factory is called Lip Factory, I have been expecting a box full of amazing lip products, and the time has come. November box was full of amazing lipsticks and lip products.

Designer Skin Fall Lip Shimmer - $7.30
I have used the Designer Skin brand before, and I really like it. This is a perfect Lip gloss to add a little pop to any lipstick application or if you are going for a shimmery natural look.  Additionally, Designer Skin lip glosses also have Vitamin E, which help nourish and condition the lips.

MODEL Co. Lip Couture Lipstick in Luella $17
This was my favorite lipstick color out of the bunch that I received this month from Lip Factory. I have been a big fan of MODEL Co. for a while now, and was excited to see a lipstick in this month’s Lip Factory Box. Also, the color is just fantastic, a perfect deeper plum-berry color, yet not overpowering, color for winter.  What I like about this lipstick is that the top also comes with a build in mirror, for perfect application.

Medusa’a Makeup Lipgloss in Rumors-$8
I have never heard of Medusa’s Makeup brand before receiving it in my Lip Factory Box.  They have the most creative packaging etc., very fun. This Lipgloss is so much fun, it is a violet color, but goes on more sheer, and it tastes like grape. Also, Medusa’s Makeup is Cruelty-free and PETA certified.

Medusa’s Makeup Lipstick in Rio -$12
Whoo hoo another fun product from Medusa’s Makeup. This packaging was even better than the lipgloss. I love the rose detail  on the lid of the lipstick. This Rio lipstick from Medusa’s Makeup has a tint of orangey, which I am not sure about, but with some lipgloss I think it could more coral color instead.

Retractable Lip Brush- $3.88
This is perfect tool to make a perfect look for the lips! And I do not have one yet, so this was a great addition to the box!

Palladio Herbal  Lipstick in Silver Rose- $6.99
This is such a pretty pink color. Very bold, but I like bold lips at times. Pallido Herbal Lipsticks come in 33 colors, and they are all so pretty. I am very excited to keep this on the makeup shelf.

TICKLED PINK OPINION
Of course, as usual, Lip Factory’s monthly box was just amazing. I always can depend on Lip Factory to curate such fantastic boxes. While some of the lipsticks this month I normally would be hesitant to try, I am very excited to go out of my comfort zone and try some new and bolder colors on my lips.  Lip Factory November’s- It’s all about Lips Box had a total value of $55.17, and all for the monthly cost of $22. I truly appreciate that each month Lip Factory sends out boxes that are usually more than double what you initially pay for the subscription.  With the holidays coming up, this would be a great gift for someone.
