Julep Second Time Around

I just couldn’t help myself, and so I got another Julep Cupid Mystery Box. It was such a great deal the first time around.  The second time around, I was hopeful that I would get some Baublebar jewelry, but no luck. However, I am very happy with my box. And, even better, no duplicate colors. If you want to see my first box you can read HERE.

And now my second
Julep Cupid Mystery Box

In the second box I got four nail polishes:
  • Aubrey;
  •  Susie;
  • Alfre; and
  • Jane, (which is not a holographic color. I thought it was at first, but thank you to the helpful people out there who pointed it out to me.)

I also was lucky enough to get a lip gloss in Poppy. And it was not an empty box this time. Julep is a great company, and they will be replacing the lip gloss that was missing in my first box. (hopefully not Poppy). Looking forward to receiving that soon.

Overall , I am always happy with the Julep boxes thus far. The box did not include as many items as other boxes I have seen online, and I did not receive a holographic polish or a "One Free Polish " card, which are supposed to be in every box. I guess Julep just wanted to hear from me again :) Julep cannot get enough of me, hahaha.  Untill next time.

Cravebox Cooking Light Review

Cravebox has to be one of my favorite subscription sights and boxes out there right now. Not only do they have a couple of boxes every month, but you can opt in and out as you see what the boxes are.  They have an AXE men’s box out right now, but I opted out of that one, and they have this Cooking Light series of boxes. I have not purchased the whole series yet, but I think after this box I will be getting all of them.  Each box cost about anywhere from $10 to $15. This Cooking Light Box- Start Your Year Off Light cost $16.

You can see the other post about the Zatarains box I got at the end of January HERE.

Cravebox Cooking Light- Start Your Year Off Light Box

  • A& W TEN

One can of rootbeer, and only 10 calories. Yummy!

  • Snackwell ‘s Fudge Pretzels

My favorite part of the box.  Chocolate and Pretzels I guess a healthy indulgence is okay!!

  • Belvita Breakfast Biscuits in Cinnamon Brown Sugar

Cravebox put a pack of the Belvita Blueberry Biscuits in another box, and I thought they were great. Cannot wait to taste the Cinnamon Brown Sugar.

  • Sunrype Strawberry Fruitstips

These are a great snack. They were in the snack box that Cravebox had last month. These are like a fruit by the foot, but a more healthy adult version.

  • Barilla White Fiber and Veggie Pasta

I must admit I am not the biggest pasta eater, but I am sure I can find someone in my family who would love some pasta. Barilla is a great brand of pasta though. I am interested in knowing what the veggie pasta is all about.

And..

  • Trident Gum in Island Berry Lime

A great tasting sugar free gum. I opened this immediately, and tastes great!!

Best of all Cravebox also always adds  in great coupons, from dollar off to free. In this box they have added coupons for Belvita, Snackwell’s, Barillas  and Trident. A great addition to this Cravebox, especially if you would like to go buy some of these tasty treats after sampling.  Additionally, Cravebox Cooking Light has added a great little Cooking Light recipe and healthy tips book, which looks to have some tasty recipes inside. I am looking forward to April's Cooklight Light 2nd box- Fast Meals.  Check out Cravebox HERE if you are interested.

Glossybox, The Man Repeller, box and …A GIVEAWAY!

I want to share some fun, and the love of subscription boxes with a lucky lady this month. This month I got two, YES, two Glossybox, The Man Repeller, boxes. What better way to show my love for subscription boxes than to share my first Glossybox with another lucky lady! Sharing is caring, right J You can read below about how you  can win this amazing box below.

The women behind the blog, The Man Repeller, Leandra Medine, launched her amazing blog in 2010. I, just in the past year, have been an avid reader. You can check her blog out HERE.

And now moving on to the revealing

GLOSSYBOX, The Man Repeller Box

  • Estee Lauder Sumptuous Lash Mascara
Always have loved Estee Lauder, and all ladies need some more mascara. Cannot wait to try it out.

The sample size is .1 oz, and the full size (.27oz) value of this is $25. A great sample.

  •  Le Metier De Beaute
Replenishing daily solution. I must say I have never heard of this brand, but for $225, for the full size version, I see why not.  This solution says it rejuvenates and detoxifies the skin. Sounds good, huh!! I will let you know after I try it out. So excited to try new things!!!

  • Fresh Mattifying Serum
I have used the Fresh Moisturizer, and it is great (a sample in the Birchbox last month) However, the reason why I am SO excited about this is because I tend to get shiny/oily skin, so anything to make it less is great. I will let you know how this works!!

The sample is .17 oz versus the full size 1 oz. The full size version of this is $35.00.

  • Sebastian Professional Potion 9
Always love a hair care sample. This is a styling cream infused with botanical extracts, which helps to rejuvenate the hair. I am, like most the products in this box, so excited to give this a try.

Sample size in the box is 1.7 oz. The full size version is $19.00 for 5.1 oz. A good size sample, and will last awhile.

  • Narciso Rodriguez
Perfumeand it smells heavenly. It only has a slight floral scent, but very warm and light. I think it would be perfect to try out for the upcoming holiday (Valentines Day).

Full size is $77 for 1.6 oz. The sample size is .03 oz.

  • OPI  Nail Polish
“Can’t Let Go”, a matte purple shade with shimmer. Not the biggest fan of purple polish, but I think I like the shimmer, so I will give it a try. However, who doesn’t like full size bottles of nail polish!!

This full size OPI Nail polish cost $9.00

And Last

  • Tarte glamazon 12- hour lipstick
A full size version, in Fierce, a bold red color. I just love how it looks. The real test is if it really lasts 12-hours!

Full size is $26

I am very excited about my first Glossybox. The fact that the Man Repeller collaborated with Glossybox, makes it an even better box . I cannot wait to see what other months have in store.. The verdict is I will be sticking with my Glossybox subscription.

And now for the giveaway One lucky lady will win a free Glossybox The Man Repeller box.. Good luck The winner will be announced next week!

Julep Cupid Mystery Box
is HERE!

I have browsed around the web and have seen many great mystery boxes from Julep. Some people have gotten $200 plus worth of items in their boxes. I just love Julep, and I love their nail polish and Julep salon (it’s in my backyard, so to speak), so I thought I would treat myself to something extra special this month. (It is my birthday month too, so why not, right? J) A couple days later I received my box great service!

And now for the revealing.

JULEP’S CUPID MYSTERY BOX

There was no special card or anything like are usually in my Maven boxes, just the items. I have seen other people’s Cupid box, and it contained a cute Happy Valentine’s Day card, but none for me

However, here is my loot:
  • ·     4 awesome nail polishes
  • ·        A gift card for One Free Nail Color; and
  • ·        Lip Gloss, or may I say a lip gloss box. When I opened up the box, it was empty?  No lip gloss. I have contacted Julep though, so hopefully I will, in fact, get their lovely lip gloss.

Overall, I would  it was worth the purchase.  I would for sure get another Mystery box when the time comes around again. I wish I would have gotten the Bauble Bar jewelry though, haha. I love Bauble Bar!!! If you have not gone to the Bauble Bar website, please go.

And.... it is not too late to still pick up one of these Julep Cupid Mystery Box, just click HERE!

For those who have ordered a Julep Cupid Mystery Box, how was it?

I just stumbled upon a new subscription website for.TIGHTS!! Yes, tights, the essential for every working women during the winter and fall(OR whenever you are in the mood). I find that a pair of good tights goes a long way.  It is quite a hoot and “Tickles me Pink” that I actually have a drawer full of tights.

How much?
Pink Beryl costs $20 a month.

My Style

CRAVEBOX CRAZY

It has been a week or so since my last post, but early this week I got an exciting package in the mail that I wanted to share with you all. CRAVEBOX! I absolutely love Cravebox. They are a little different of a subscribing system, in that you have enter your name into a raffle like system, and then they let you know if you “Are IN” or not.  I have only missed out on about two boxes this last year, but I am very pleased and excited to try the items in this box. The theme was Zatarain’s Big Game, just in time for the Superbowl. Not only was it double sized this time, but Cravebox also gave people who were in the choice to receive more boxes, so you could use the items at your own Superbowl party.

I was excited this was New Orleans Game Day themed box,  as I love football, and it was made especially for a Superbowl party. Here is a picture of the items included in the Cravebox.

Zatarain’s Jambalaya and Rice and Beans
I am particularly excited to try Zatarain’s Jambalaya and Rice and Beans. I have never made Jambalaya, but I am always up for a challenge. I will let you know how it turns out.

Zatarain’s Creole Mustard
I have already tried this full size item of Creole Mustard. Yummy!  I am a mustard girl, not yellow mustard,  but mustard with a kick! This Creole Mustard will  spice things up.  All in all it is fantastic mustard. Probably a great addition to a homemade BBQ sauce as well.

TRUE Lemon Iced Tea
Took the time to make some of this last night, and it is fantastic. Just the right amount of sweetness in this tea mix, and super refreshing as well.  On Superbowl day, add a little adult kick, and it will be great addition to the party. I give it a thumbs up!

Zatarain’s Creole Seasoning
I have actually purchased this before, and I love it. It is a little like Johnny’s Seasoning, but with a kick. I would recommend it on anything from mixing it up with some soup, adding it as a topper to a salad, to adding as a topper to some crispy French fries. I was so excited to get double the Creole Seasoning, it definitely is the best!

If you want to check out Cravebox, check out their up and coming drawings HERE. I am already signed up for the Cooking Light Box, and I would recommend heading over to Cravebox.com to sign up yourself. Most boxes cost anywhere from $10 to $15, not too bad at all for what you get. Cravebox is definitely worth every penny!!! They have also added some new boxes called “Instant Boxes” ranging from $10 to $14, you can see the options HERE!!
