No Gluten, No Problem- Cuisine Cube Subscription Review

Gluten intolerance seems to becoming more of an issue for people these days.  My sister-in-law (well, soon to be sister-in-law), was actually just mentioning how she is no longer eating gluten either. Thus, many food subscription boxes that are out there right now are just not working for people with this intolerance, or for those just  trying to keep gluten out of their diet. This is when this fantastic new subscription comes in, Cuisine Cube.

December Cuisine Cube

This box was just so exciting to get. When I opened it I was very impressed. Like I always say, presentation is always a big plus in my mind, and Cuisine Cube was nicely packaged in a nice box, as to not damage any of the food or smash it. Smashed up muffin is not always very appealing, and I am glad that Cuisine Cube also appreciates that as well. 

Kyotofu- Gluten Free Pumpkin Spice Muffin $9

I hardly got to dig into this yummy muffin before it was devoured by my other family members, but the little taste I got was fantastic. It is made with Cup4Cup flower, which is a special blend of gluten free flour and mixes with spices. This muffin was very moist and super tasty.

Pangea White Corn Fusilli $7

A, our little one, and do not eat pasta at all. I do not mind it, but for everyone else it is a texture thing. However, this White Corn Fusilli, imported straight from Italy, sounds very good for someone who cannot have gluten. My parents will probably really like this pasta. 

Pereg Quinoa All’ Italia $4.50

I have had Quinoa before, but for all those who have no idea what in the world it is here is a little bit about it:

“Quinoa, the “mother of all grains”, is a healthy and easy food to prepare. Quinoa is high in protein, has many anti-inflammatory properties and contains more anti-oxidants than cranberries!”

I cannot wait to try this, sounds very yummy and very good for me. 

Thatcher’s Sea Salt Chocolate Caramel Corn $4.50

Okay, so I knew that San Francisco had good food, but oh goodness, this Sea Salt Chocolate Caramel Corn was to- die-for-yummy. Yes, it really was that good! Once this bag was opened it was demolished! I was trying to keep healthy with sweets, but even I had to give it a try. And it is gluten free. I am trying to get my hands on more of this.

Organicasaurus Organic Baked Corn Snack $3

These puffed up snacks are all shaped like dinos. Our little one is really into dinosaurs, and really thought these real cheddar cheese snacks were good. These are actually the only cheese corn puff on the market that are USDA Organic!

Freedgoods Coco Brownie $4

I had actually talked to some people about cooking gluten free and everyone told me that you can actually make some really tasty treats that are gluten free, well this brownie is one tasty treat.  Super moist and tasting no different than a regular brownie.

TICKLED PINK OPINION

Just in this past year I have come across so many people that are becoming gluten free, and with less options to pick from, it is nice that there is a subscription out there that does the hunting for gourmet gluten free products for gluten free eaters.  After Cuisine Cube graciously offered to send me this sample box, I am thoroughly impressed with Cuisine Cube, and definitely think it is a great, and much needed, box. It also has opened my eyes to the options of tasty gluten free food.

December’s Cuisine Cube’s total value was approximately $32 worth of premium and tasty gluten free items. At a monthly cost of $29.99, you definitely get your monies worth.  You definitely could not purchase these items plus shipping for less than $29.99.

This was my favorite snack. This was jammed packed with Sesame honey almonds, and was very tasty. Each of the 4 packs that are received in the Nibblr box are portion controlled, which I appreciate. If I had a whole bag of these not sure if I could just each 1 portion, haha. 

Olde World Blend

This was a mix of dates, figs and red walnuts. I am not the biggest fan of dates, but I did at least try it out. And, it was pretty darn tasty. Next time I try this I probably will put it in some yogurt. This Olde World Blend was a Fruit and Nut mix, which is 1 out of 5 of the taste categories that Nibblr provides. The 5 taste categories are: Fruit; Fruit and Nut; Nuts for Nuts; Feel Good Sweets; and Savory Sensations.  I think I am a Nuts for Nuts kind of eater. 

Caramel Apple

Who does not like carmel apple. This Feel Good Sweet from Nibblr is packed with Caramel, Apple and Peanuts, and is very tasty. This treat definitely satisfies any sweet tooth.  

OliveYou 

These are a part of the Nibblr Savory Sensations collection. This treat is full of pumpkin seeds, dates and olives. At first I thought it sounded a little weird, but it actually is pretty tasty. 

TICKLED PINK OPINION

I really love the concept of Nibblr  box. It kinda reminds me of the Graze box. However, I am always ready to try new foodie subscriptions, so I really like that Nibblr has come around. And Nibblr has some great new and unique options for snacks. I think that $5.99 for a box, which covers shipping as well, is great, and the convenience is definitely worth it. I cannot tell you how many times I am at work with no lunch, so a subscription like this is perfect, so I can just have snacks delivered to me.

New Candy Box Subscription- Mexican Candy Box Review

In our house we do not go out and get candy too often, but when we were offered to try out the Mexican Candy Box, I could not resist. This is a new candy subscription that delivers Mexican Candy right to your door.  I really have never heard of any of these candies, but was excited to find out more about Mexican candy, and try out Mexican Candy Box's very first box!

What is Mexican Candy Box?

Each month the Candy Curators select an assortment of sweet and spicy hot Mexican candies, and deliver them straight to your door each month. You can chose what flavor box, and what size.  There are three flavor boxes to choose from: Sweet and Spicy Box, Spicy Box and Sweet Box. There are also different size boxes as well: 1) Solo (individual) Box- $12, 2) Amigo (friend) Box- $15, and 3) Familia (family) Box-$20.

SEPTEMBER MEXICAN CANDY BOX- SOLO BOX

This little box arrived very promptly, and I am so surprised that all this candy actually fit into this little box. Our Mexican Candy Box was packed to the brim.

Vero Elotes

This is a Strawberry Lollipop with Chili. When I first looked at the package I thought it looked like something to do with a honey type candy, but no I was wrong. I am so glad Mexican Candy Box came with an information card because I do like to know what I am eating. These were very tasty.

Canel’s and Duvalin

The Canel’s were tasty little fruity gums, we have to hide these from the little one.

The Duvalin reminded me of Nutella. However, this little treat has Hazelnut and Strawberry frosting, and comes with a little spoon to scoop it out. This would be tasty with some little vanilla wafers.

Tommy candies

 

These were great little butterscotch treats. The little one has had one already and the verdict is that they are “Yummy!”

Lucas Mango and Sania del Puesto

The Lucas Mango is a Mango Powder reminded me of pixie stick powder. I will have to give it a try when I have a sweet tooth. I really liked Pixie Sticks when I was little, not sure now. 

The Sania del Puesto was like a pixie stick as well but with Chili Powder. I am saving these for my parents who like hot foods more than I do.

Paleton and Pulparindo

The Paleton is a goats milk lollipop. I have only had goats milk cheese, but I will try anything once.

The Pulparindo is an extra hot and salted tamrind pulp candy. Another candy I probably will pass along to family, since we are not big hot candy eaters in my house.

Bocadin

This is my favorite candy out of the box. I think because there is chocolate, and it is like a Kit Kat. Kit Kats were my favorite growing up. I am sure the little one will like this as well. I will save these for a rainy day. 

TICKLED PINK OPINION:   I was very impressed with how much was in this box. And even though I am not 100% sure on what the price is for each of these candies, I do think that this box is worth it.  Just the time it would take to find some of this candy makes this box worth it.  Like I said I am not a big candy eater, and try to keep it limited at my house, but I like that this box is made for sharing, so we can spread the candy around.

 I was so excited to see a box at my office the other day, and I had been looking forward to this box since I was given the opportunity to try it out. August Bestowed Box

This was my first Bestowed Box, and oh my goodness was the box heavy. I was amazed at how jammed pack the box was  I am blown away by the great items that you receive in this box, as well as the wonderful quality and healthiness of what Bestowed and Heather Bauer picked out for the August Bestowed Box. Additionally, I usually do not make the biggest fuss over the information cards in many boxes, but the Bestowed information card, was not just a card, it was a booklet. This Bestowed booklet was jammed packed with information on the products, places to buy the products, tips, and recipes. It was just fabulous. 

Miracle Noodles

I have been wanting to try these for a while now, as I try to keep to a low calorie, low carb diet, so these were perfect. These Miracle Noodles are calorie free , carb free, gluten free, soy free, and vegan free. What more could you want from a noodle, and guilt free. It sounds too good to be true. Bestowed even added in their information booklet a yummy recipe for a Fresh Tomato and basil sauce to go with the noodles.  Delish.

Cascadian Farm Cruncy Oat and Honey Granola Bar

This bar really is a great bar to have on hand when you need a healthy on-the-go snack. This reminds me of when I was young and at summer camp. I lived off Granola Bars. Although this would have been a perfect snack to bring to work with me, I was competing with the little one for this bar. The little one won. She absolutely loves granola bars.

Living Healthy World Flax n' Chia Stix  

This little packet of Chia sees and Flax seeds are packed full off goodness. This packet when added to a drink or meal can benefit the cardiovascular system and with your overall health. Bestowed box recommends adding this to some cottage cheese with berries, or add into a smoothie. These sound like a great on-the-go healthy supplement. 

Mighty Leaf Sunburst Green Tea Iced Pouch

I just love Green Tea, and really like that this delicious chilled green tea. Green tea has always been something that I keep my household, since it provides great burst of energy. 

Lundberg Family Farms Sante Fe Barbeque Rice Chip

These were gone pretty quickly out of my Bestowed Box, and they were very delicious. The taste on these chips is very unique , it is a cross between a taco type seasoning and BBQ seasoning.  I like that this rice chip is a healthier version of greasy chips, and without taking out the taste. 

Nakano Seasoned Rice Vinegar

We used to use rice vinegar all the time for sushi, and I never really thought about putting this on a salad. Next time I cook up some veggies or salad this is a great replacement for high fat, high calorie ranch dressing that I like. 

REBOOT

 Reboot  is a powerful supplement that is clinically proven to help the body protect itself against free radicals.  What I like is that it is still made out of all natural ingredients like dandelion, artichoke, and lemon, so it works in your body naturally  to help recover from workouts, stress, sun exposure and more.  When I heard it helps with stress I was impressed, and will be trying this out ASAP.  I have never heard of anything like this, but  it sounds great for the body. 

SeaSnax Grab n' Go Roasted Seaweed Snacks

This was a perfect snack to include in this Bestowed box for me. Any seaweed snack that is included in my sub boxes, I usually will eat right away for a snack. Seaweed is such a healthy and low calorie snack. It also helps with satisfying that salt craving, which I get more than cravings for sweets. 

Noosa Yogurt Coupon

Bestowed Box added in coupons for two free things of the Noosa Yogurt, and it sounds great. It is more decadent than greek yogurt and comes in great flavors like Passion Fruit, Strawberry-Rhubarb, and Mango. 

TICKLED PINK OPINION:   I am very impressed with this Bestowed Box, and cannot believe I have not subscribed to this box before. This box is a perfect box for our family, as we try our hardest to eat and live as healthy as possible, and that is exactly what Bestowed is trying to help people with. What is great is that the curator, Heather Bauer, actually takes the time to personally curate each box. She takes into consideration the nutrition, ingredients, taste, packaging, and even who socially responsible the manufacture is  when she makes her selection for each box.  I do feel like I have my own nutritionist in a box, and I love that I can share this box with my family and know that I am feeding and giving them something healthy. And all of this for only $19. I did not do a pricing for each item, but I am sure that the value of this box was more than $19!

Going Nuts about Watanut- Unboxing and Review

This has to be my new favorite foodie subscription. My favorite things to snack are granola, almonds, cashews etc.  When I heard about Watanut I was super excited to see what it was all about. And I am not the only one in the house who loves this new subscription, so does my fiance’

What is Watanut?

The great people behind Watanut started this great subscription because they wanted to give people healthy options for their snacks, whether at home, at work, training, or just for the heck of it. Each month Watanut sends to your door a pack of 4 healthy snacks,  that are not processed and tastes great. The cost is $25 per month.

As a side note about Watanut, they have partnered up with their local Boys & Girls Club to provide at-risk youth a safe place to learn and grow. A portion of every Watanut box goes to help kids succeed academically, model good character and lead healthy lifestyles.

AUGUST WATANUT

I really think the Watanut box that the snacks come in is so fun, just like the name "Watanut".  I always appreciate when a company takes pride in the presentation of their product!

Honey Badger BBQ

This is a mix of  BBQ peanuts, honey sesame sticks, and roasted sunflower seeds. This mix was my favorite. The BBQ was not too overpowering, but added great flavor to this mix.  This was a perfect mix to satisfy that salty snack craving I get.

Thru-Hike

When I opened this box, this mixture of Cranberries, roasted almonds, and salted cashews is what my fiance’ went for first. And, an hour later it was pretty much gone. This mix is super tasty and a great energy booster. The salty and the sweet mix perfect.

The Happy Nut

I just do not know anyone who does not like roasted and salted pistachios. So yummy, and a perfect snack food.  I have purchased some pretty awful tasting pistachios in the past, but these were just delicious and fresh.

A Walk in the Woods

This was just so yummy.  A Walk in the Woods is a mix of rolled oats, honey, brazil nuts, cashews, coconut, and cinnamon.  Perfect for breakfast, alone or with some yogurt.  A great morning pick me up.

TICKLED PINK OPINION: This absolutely is my favorite snack box right now, especially because it includes my favorite snack food, which is mixed nuts, and I think that the value and convenience of the box is great. Each individual pack is well sized, and is perfect to take on the go.  A big win for me is that there are a couple different snack options that work for the whole family instead of just one of us. Additionally,  I really appreciate that Watanut has presented their company as a company that cares about their customers, and the community.   I look forward to enjoying more Watanut packs in the future.
