Sample Society January 2014 Review

Well Sample Society is usually one of the first subscription boxes that I review each month, but it seems that I am a little far behind for January. Needless to say, Sample Society is one of my favorite beauty boxes. Yes, I probably say that they are all my favorite, and I think may they all are. But, I really do think that Sample Society, as one of my first beauty boxes that I ever received really won my beauty side over from the very beginning.

What is Sample Society?
For those who do not know what Sample Society is, this a beauty subscription that sends out beauty samples each month. Sample Society is through Beauty Bar and teamed up with Allure. The monthly cost is $15.

JANUARY SAMPLE SOCIETY

For January 2014, Sample Society brought some of the best for 2014.

StriVectin SD Eye Concentrate

This won the Allure Best of Beauty Winner. I really have wanted to try a couple of the StriVectin products for awhile now, I was super excited to see this in January's Sample Society Box. I can only hope that the product is as good as it says it is. This eye concentrate is said to help with lines, puffiness and dark circles, everything that I need in an eye cream!

StriVectin Instant Retexturizing Scrub

Not just one StriVectin products, but two this month! I can always use some nice shower scrub.

Malin & Goetz Vitamin E Face Moisturizer

I really love anything with Vitamin E, it really helps even out skin tone as well as hydrates. I have heard really good things about Malin & Goetz, and this moisturizer proves what great products they have; the moisturizer works fantastic!

Nicole Richie Perfume Sample

I am not the biggest fan of getting perfume in any box. I am pretty picky when it comes to smells. However, this Nicole Richie perfume is not that bad at all. I would probably not buy it on my own, but I am sure for a special occasion I would think about taking it out.

Butter London Horse Power Nail Fertilizer

I was the most excited about this in January's Sample Society. I really can appreciate a nail product that is not polish in a beauty box, and it is full size, even better. This nail fertilizer is made to help strengthen nails. I can use all the strength a nail product can give me, my nails are like paper.

TICKLED PINK OPINION

I did not do a cost by item overview for this box, but the Butter London Horse Power itself was $20, and full size, so the box was definitely worth every penny, especially since Sample Society only costs $15 per month. For January there was way more than $15 worth of products, and I could not be more excited about the start of 2014 for Sample Society. I plan on being a loyal subscriber for months to come.

December Sample Society Review

Each month I usually share the same couple of boxes that are my favorites, one of which is my Beauty Bar.com Sample Society Box. This box I had for a while now, but have not reviewed yet. The late posting is completely on me, and not at any delay of shipping by Sample Society.

Alterna Bamboo Style Texturizing Body Boost Powder

I love Alterna brand products, so I was excited to see this in the box. I have never used powder to help boost my hair, but I am excited to give a try. Well, when I actually do something with my hair other than put it up lately.

Alterna Caviar Dry Shampoo

I have tried this before and love it. Another great product from Alterna. I am always in a rush in the morning, running out the door to make it time to get to the train, so dry shampoo is perfect for these days!

Philosophy Hope in a Jar

Again another great product that I have tried and love. This will be great to keep in a night bag or gym bag so my face can get the added moisturizing it needs!

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

I have heard great things about Dermalogica, but have never used it. This Microfoliant is meant to  brighten the completion, for the winter this is perfect.

Diego Dalla Palma Rossorossetto Lipstick

Try saying Rossorossetto a bunch of times.  This is a great lipstick for a night on the town, it has great pigment, and very pretty.

TICKLED PINK OPINION

Even though this was not the favorite Sample Society box from BeautyBar.com, but I did not hate it either. I was really happy about the Alterna products, and was happy to be able to experience some new products that I have not ever used before as well. For the monthly cost of  $15, I think it is a great beauty box, and is definetly one that I will keep on my "Nice" List for the next year to come. I really am excited to see what is to come for Sample Society  for 2014.

Sample Society- November Winter Wonders Box Review

Sample Society is usually one of the first boxes that I get each month, and it is a great box to start the month off with. However, and it may be because of my move, it came a little late this month.  Needless to say, I still am excited to share November’s Sample Society Box with you all.

What is Sample Society?
For those who do not know what Sample Society is, this a beauty subscription that sends out beauty samples each month. Sample Society is through Beauty Bar and teamed up with Allure. The monthly cost is $15.

For November, Sample Society is getting everyone ready for winter. The theme of the box was Winter Wonders, and yes everything was very wonderful.

November Sample Society Box

Jane Ireland Lip Drink Balm
I have gotten a couple different Jane Ireland products in my Sample Society boxes, and I am never disappointed. They are little, but perfect to keep in a little side pocket of my purse. This is a perfect to keep lips moisturized and protected during the cold months ahead.

Illume Balsam & Cedar Metallic Tin Candle
I love getting candles in any box, I especially really love the Illume brand of candles. Again, I have received Illume candles before. This is a perfect candle scent for winter, notes of basalm and cedarwood with cinnamon remind me of  a nice cabin in the woods.

Borghese Splendore Brightening Makeup
This is great for all those holiday parties coming up. A great little extra addition to the makeup routine to add that extra illumination needed to stun everyone around.

Annick Goutal Eau d’ Hadrein Perfume
The information card says that this is a very clean smell, and it definetly is. It is made of of scents of lemon and yiang-yiang. I am not sure what that it, but it smells excellent.

Murad Anti-Aging Acne Pore & Line Minimizing Hydrator
Murad is a great brand, and I have also used many of Murad’s products. I am always looking for ways to help minimize pores, this is perfect.

TICKLED PINK OPINION

I always love when I get a Sample Society, or any box for that matter, with a candle in it. I just love candles. I did not do a price over on this box this month, but my instincts tell me that the box was definetly worth $15 I paid for the box. Also, Sample Society Always gives a $15 gift code of a purchase of $50, which is nice.

October Sample Society- Fall Must-Have Box Review

Sample Society from Beauty Bar is always one of those boxes that I really love, and I look forward to it being one the first boxes that I get each month.  (Yes, this post is a little delayed. The move really is putting me back. Dang move!). October was no different.

What is Sample Society?
For those who do not know what Sample Society is, this a beauty subscription that sends out beauty samples each month. Sample Society is through Beauty Bar and teamed up with Allure. The monthly cost is $15.

October Sample Society
 Fall Favorites Box

This box was curated to bring the new must-haves for fall.

Butter London Nail Lacquer in Scallywag (Full Size)
Yay! I really was so excited to see this in my Sample Society box this month. Not only was it Butter nail laquer, which I really like, but the color was just a beautiful turquois glitter color, and it was full size!! Can never complain when I get nail lacquer in a box!

IPKN  BB Cream

I have my ups and downs with BB Creams. Sometimes I really like BB Creams and other times they are just leave my skin feeling too oily. This is said to go on smoothly, and I always give products a try. I am excited to see how this works.

Diptyque L'Eau Du 34 Blvd Saint Germain

I have like most Diptyque perfumes that I have gotten, and I am really picky about perfume.  However, this one is just too much for me. I am sure I can find someone who would love to take this off my hands.

Ouidad Botanical Boost Spray Deluxe

I am excited to use this when I defuse my hair and wear it curly. My hair has a natural wave to it, and can be coaxed into being even more curlier, but tends to get frizzy here or there. Maybe this Ouidad will help.

Minus 417 Hand Moisturizer

Natural Olive Oil and Primrose  oil helps with moisture in the hands. With the fall coming, and colder weather, this is perfect to keep in my purse to keep my hands soft and smooth.

TICKLED PINK OPINION:
I never have anything bad to say about my Sample Society box each month, and the same goes for the October box.  I was most excited about the Butter Nail Lacquer, and for the price that full size Butter Nail Lacquer goes for usually, this in itself paid for the whole October Sample Society Box. I cannot wait to experiment with my new goodies as well.

Sample Society September- Back to Basics Review

I get The Sample Society Box each month from Beauty Bar, and I really enjoy this box each month. It really send me something new and exciting to try each month. The September Box was nothing less than great this month.

What is Sample Society?
For those who do not know what Sample Society is, this a beauty subscription that sends out beauty samples each month. Sample Society is through Beauty Bar and teamed up with Allure. The monthly cost is $15.

September Sample Society Box

For September Sample Society featured a box I really liked, Back to Basics – Skin Edition.  This month the Sample Society picked out some of their favorite products for a great skin regiment.

Deepa Gurani Hair Accessory

A great hair band from Deepa Gurani. I really like this and plan on using it right away. I have never received anything like this from Sample Society before, so it was a nice change of pace.

Suki Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser

I have been getting many products from Suki lately, but I really have been enjoying them. I really like the Suki brand  and this will be a great exfoliate to add to my skin regiment collection.

Murad Rapid Collagen Infusion

Murad has a great collection of skin care products.  This serum is perfect to add elasticity to the skin. I had good results with other Murad products I have used, so I expect that this will have the same outcome.

MD SolarSciences Daily Eye Repair Emulsion

I really love to get eye products in boxes. If there is one thing on my face I worry and care more about using good products, it is under my eyes.  I tend to get puffy and have dark circles, so it is extremely important to keep under the eyes hydrated and moisturized.

L’Occitane Immortelle Precious Face Crea

This made in France moisturizer seems like a perfect every day moisturizer for the face. I am very picky about moisturizers, as I tend to get oily skin around the T-zone.  I think I will wait until colder months when I tend to get drier skin to use this, as it says it is a decently rich moisturizer.

TICKLED PINK OPINION: For $15 this Sample Society Box is well worth it. While I did not do exact price checks, I  really think that 4 nice size samples of skin care products and a very chic hair band is well worth the money I spend on this box.  Additionally , Sample Society always  offers  a $15 off $50 purchase coupon each month, which I think is great if you take advantage of it. I continue to be very pleased with my Sample Society Box each month, an d do not plan to cancel my subscription any time soon.
